There is the potential for a small amount of snow in the forecast over the weekend and into next week. Below is the UW model run for total snowfall (accumulations will likely be less) through Monday afternoon. This is not an especially worrisome forecast, but islanders should get ready for a shift to more wintry weather.
And please keep in mind that your friendly Public Works crews (especially on Orcas) have been working absolutely flat out for the last three+ weeks with no end in sight. Have some compassion for them if the snow falls… staying home until things warm up a bit may very well be the best approach in some cases.
Be smart and safe and keep an eye on your neighbors!
