— from Susan Slapin —

Susan Slapin, painter (art instructor and photographer) is fine artist for the month of July at Washington Federal. Come view the many textures and colors of this long time artist/islander’s work. Honoring the environment, and the beauty of Nature are key inspirations. “I’ve been studying color since I was a child~ so much to learn, sense, and explore.”

Susan graduated from Marylhurst University, worked at The Academy of Motion Pictures, Etc.

Paintings for this exhibit are created in soft pastels (pure pigment and binder), acrylic, and mixed media; with a touch of landscape and pet portrait photography. Susan will also accept some commissions for landscape pastels of the environment.

Do join us for an informal presentation on July 10, 3:00 to meet and discuss the work. (For 3 Mondays, starting July 8, from 1:00-3:00 is “Sketch Orcas” at Libby Garcia’s Boathouse Ciderworks!) For Studio Visits and Art Lessons, Contact Susan to Schedule: Email: susan@susanslapin.com.
