18-002671 Burglary – Residential 16:18:54 04/25/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a possible residential burglary that was later to found out to be a Landlord violation. An informational report was taken.
18-002672 Court Order Violation 16:49:47 04/25/18
A Lopez Island Deputy took a report that a subject had violated the conditions of release imposed by the court in a recent case. The incident is under investigation.
18-002673 Theft 17:24:10 04/25/18
A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of theft of trees from the Lopez Hill Preserve. The Steward for the Land Bank discovered where two trees had been cut up for firewood. One of the trees had been standing timber, cut down by the perpetrator.
18-002679 Traffic Stop 22:48:42 04/25/18
A Deputy stopped a vehicle on Orcas Road for a lane travel violation in the night time hours. Further investigation revealed there was probable cause to believe the driver was DUI. The driver was arrested, processed and released. Charging decisions are pending blood test results.
18-002680 Domestic Dispute or Assault 23:18:02 04/25/18
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence incident in Eastsound. After further investigation it was determined no assault took place. A report was written.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen’s complaint of a dog at large near their sheep. The friendly dog was detained and returned to its owner. A dog at large citation was issued.

A Deputy was dispatched to investigate a drug overdose on San Juan Island.
18-002718 Child Abuse or Neglect 10:05:48 04/27/18
An Orcas Deputy investigated a report of child abuse. The case is currently ongoing.
18-002735 Accident-NonInj 20:13:17 04/27/18
A Deputy responded to a reported vehicle collision. Further investigation suggested a female driver had been driving at an unsafe speed, attempted to avoid a collision, sideswiped another vehicle and impacted a sidewalk. The driver was issued an infraction for Negligent Driving.

A Deputy was contacted by a person reporting a suspicious Circumstance. The person reported someone entered a vehicle and poured liquid in the passenger area. Report taken.
18-002755 Area Check 23:17:36 04/28/18
A Lopez Island Deputy observed a subject with a flashlight moving among the boats in the Islander Marina. Investigating further, a marina guest was found out taking his dog for a late night walk.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic. After an investigation it was determined that it was verbal only. A report was taken.

An anonymous female delivered the listed iPhone and wallet to Dispatch; they indicated that the items had been found on the sidewalk outside of Herb’s Tavern.
18-002760 Trespassing 11:03:25 04/29/18
A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Trespassing. The involved parties were contacted and one person was served with a Trespass Warning Letter.

A Deputy on Orcas located a subject with a misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested on the warrant as well as possession of dangerous drugs.
18-002762 Accident-NonInj 12:56:04 04/29/18
A Lopez Island Deputy investigated a 2 vehicle non injury collision on Ferry Rd. A local man was issued citations for Driving While License Suspended/Revoked 3rd degree and Unsafe Backing. One vehicle was disabled in the crash and had to be towed from the scene.

A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a Medical call involving an inmate in the jail. The inmate was treated and released from the Emergency Room at Peace Island Medical Center and transported back to the jail. Information report made.

A Deputy responded to a report of a Domestic in Friday Harbor. Upon investigation it was found that the disturbance was only a verbal argument and not a domestic violence. An information report was made.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to do a civil standby for a tenant moving personal property from a rental after a lengthy landlord-tenant dispute.

A Deputy had contact with a person known to have a warrant while in the Friday Harbor area. The person was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. The person was booked into custody.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a report of a lost cell phone. A report was taken.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic violence incident in Eastsound. The suspect fled the scene prior to arrival and has not yet been located. An investigation and report was completed. Further efforts are being made to locate the suspect.
