A Lopez Deputy responded to a domestic call. An individual was arrested for assault.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen request for a civil standby. The standby was completed, and the Deputy collected a firearm following a court order.

23-007287 Welfare Check 10:42:39 09/08/23
Orcas Deputies responded to a report of a welfare check. Previous information gathered suggested there was a known person restricted from having access to firearms, who had reportedly had a firearm in his vehicle. A search pursuant to a search warrant was conducted and two firearms were recovered.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a found property call. A pair of glasses had been located in the Eastsound area. They were collected and the responding officer noted the glasses to be very stylish. The owner of the glasses has not yet been identified. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a fraud callback. The reporting party stated that they had given money to a friends account that was hacked on FaceBook, and sent personal information the the hacked account. A report was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island took a report of a theft. A person living inside a home amongst other people had stolen personal property from a roommate. The suspect was issued a criminal citation for theft in the 3rd degree.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a domestic dispute. After contacting the involved parties, the Deputy determined the incident was nothing more than an argument between family members.

A Deputy on Orcas Island referred a person experiencing a mental health crisis to a designated crisis responder.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of suspicious activity. An individual stated that a BB or other object might have struck their window, as there was now a small hole in it. There are no leads or suspects at this time. A report was completed.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a possible domestic incident in Friday Harbor. The incident was determined to be a dispute between siblings. The siblings were picked up by a parent. The incident was documented and referred to Juvenile Services. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an unwanted person call at a local park. The individual was contacted and agreed to leave the area without incident. The incident was documented.

A San Juan Island Deputy took a report of graffiti on the Blue Water restaurant near the roof line. “FETX” is spray painted with black spray paint. The perpetrators appears to access the roof from the stairs at Friday’s Crab House.

A report was made of a Stihl String Trimmer being stolen off his flatbed trailer. The trailer was on his property off the roadway and out of sight of the general public. No suspects or leads at this time.

An Orcas Island Citizen delivered found property to a Deputy. The Deputy was unable to locate the owner. The property was booked into evidence for safekeeping.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a motorcycle accident. After talking with the involved parties and looking at the scene, was determined that the driver of a moped took a corner too sharp and wrecked. The driver refused medical attention. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a not-in-progress citizen dispute. The incident was determined to be civil in nature and was documented.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a medical complaint in the San Juan County Jail. The in-custody individual was transported the hospital for further evaluations. The individual was cleared to return to jail. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a citizen dispute near Rosario. After an investigation was completed no crime was found and the parities separated for the night.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a harassment incident that had occurred at the public high school. The incident was documented and the investigation ongoing.

A Friday Harbor man came into the Sheriff’s Office to report threats that were made to him while on a job site. A statement was obtained from the victim and an investigation is being conducted.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a report of an intruder entering a home. The individual was scared off by the resident and fled the scene before officers arrived. Nothing appeared to be taken and the reason for entry into the home is still unknown.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a mental call. The individual had previous contact with Deputies during the day and probable cause had been developed for their arrest. The individual resisted arrest, then was taken into custody. The individual was booked into jail on multiple charges.
