A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft. At this time, there are no suspects or leads and a report was made.

20-008341 Death Investigation 11:11:54 09/30/20
A San Juan Deputy was dispatched a death investigation on Park Street. In the investigation the person found was deceased on arrival and appeared to have passed of natural causes.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a theft of a political sign. No suspects or leads, and the incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of a suicidal subject. The subject was taken in protective custody and taken to the medical center for further evaluation.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft that occurred approximately a week prior. There are no suspects or leads at this time and the incident was documented.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a welfare check. The subject was contacted and did not appear to be a threat to themselves. The incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a medical response. After lifesaving attempts were made the person on seen was found to have passed away of natural causes. A uniform death report was sent to the Coroner.

An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

A Lopez resident reported a possible violation of a protection order. The contact was documented for the court to review.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy was able to locate the person who was ok. The Deputy observed an additional crime, completed a report, and a probable cause statement for trespass was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a theft complaint near Eastsound. The owner just wanted it documented and a report was taken.

20-008430 Wanted Person 19:35:54 10/02/20
Deputies on San Juan located a wanted person and took them into custody for an outstanding felony DOC warrant for escape community custody. Report made.

20-008433 Accident-HitRun 21:06:53 10/02/20
A Deputy on San Juan was dispatched to a report of a hit and run. Information was exchanged and the incident was documented. The driver received an infraction for no valid operator’s license.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespassing in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the involved people. One person was served with Trespass Warning Letter. Report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted an area check at the West Sound County Dock. At about 2200 hours there was a vessel located at the dock which had been issued numerous infractions for unlawful overnight moorage before. The Deputy issued the vessel an infraction.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a deer that was tangled in a wire fence. In trying to rescue itself, the deer had severely injured its leg and needed to be euthanized.

San Juan Deputies responded to a 2-car, non-injury collision in Friday Harbor. Drivers’ information was exchanged and a collision report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy discovered where someone had illegally dumped boxes of items in the turnout at Mud Bay and MacKaye Harbor Rd. So called “Free Piles” left in public spaces is littering, and will be investigated and prosecuted as such.

A Lopez Island resident reported an intruder entered their south end residence during the night.

A Lopez Island resident called to report possible fraud associated with their telephone account. They were also referred to the Federal Communications Commission to make an online report.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to a reported illegal burn. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a lost wallet and contents. The information was gathered from the reporting party and a report generated.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Possible Fraud in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy spoke with the caller. The incident appeared to be a civil issue but the reporting Deputy took an information report.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a vehicle hit and run complaint. The reporting person stated that his vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the 2400 block of Fisherman Bay Road. A report was completed.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a non-injury accident in Friday Harbor. One of the drivers was issued an infraction for failure to yield and a report was made.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a welfare check after Adult Protective Services requested assistance with an investigation. There was no evidence of a crime and a report was completed.

20-008544 Domestic Dispute or Assault 20:31:17 10/06/20
Lopez Island Deputies responded for a possible domestic violence incident. The investigation revealed no evidence of an assault. The involved persons were separated and a report was completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted an area check at the West Sound County Dock. At about 2230 hours there was a vessel located at the dock which had been issued numerous infractions for unlawful overnight moorage before. The Deputy issued the vessel an infraction.
