WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
25-006062 Lost Property 13:55:34 09/03/25
The Sheriff’s Office took a report of lost property. The incident was documented.

25-006065 Wildland Fire 15:48:02 09/03/25
A Lopez Deputy and Lopez Fire responded to a wildland fire near Hummel Lake. The fire department successfully extinguished the fire. The property owner, who is suspected of arson, was taken into custody for a mental health evaluation at the hospital.

25-006076 Welfare Check 21:22:03 09/03/25
Deputies on San Juan Island conducted a welfare check on an adult female. After speaking with the female, her mental health crisis had escalated as well as the threat to harm herself. The female was taken into protective custody and was transported to the Emergency Room for further care.

25-006079 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:15:45 09/03/25
Orcas Island Deputies and Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the Deer Harbor area. It was determined that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Subsequently the driver was issued several criminal citations.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
25-006083 Malicious Mischief 09:09:37 09/04/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned a vandalism call. The suspect was identified and charged with malicious mischief in the third degree.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
25-006123 Rape/Attempted Rape 12:16:00 09/05/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a sex offense. The victim wished to document an incident for potential pursuit of charges at a later date. The incident occurred outside of San Juan County and was documented by the Deputy.

25-006125 Harassment 13:50:30 09/05/25
A Deputy on Lopez Island took a harassment report. It was found to be a civil matter.

25-006127 Unwanted Person 14:10:39 09/05/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a request to trespass an individual from a local organization. A letter was signed by a representative and will be issued to the person when they are located.

25-006139 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:04:09 09/05/25
Deputies on Orcas Island, along with personnel from Orcas Island Fire and Rescue (OIFR) responded to a two-vehicle injury collision. One of the drivers was flown off island for further treatment. The other driver was issued a notice of infraction for failure to yield.

25-006145 Court Order Violation 19:57:04 09/05/25
A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle as the driver for an order violation. The driver was arrested for protection order violation – DV, DWLS 3rd degree, ignition interlock violation, possession of controlled substance, vehicle prowl 2nd degree – DV, and intimidating a public servant.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
25-006149 Domestic Dispute or Assault 08:19:24 09/06/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and spoke with the people involved. The incident was a verbal argument. Report taken.

25-006154 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:56:38 09/06/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a domestic assault. Investigation revealed that the incident occurred outside of San Juan County. The victim was in touch with resources and was referred to the court to petition for a no contact order.

25-006155 Unwanted Person 12:05:54 09/06/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an unwanted person at a private residence. The person was trespassed at the property owner’s request. The suspect reported having been bitten by the property owner’s dog. A report was forwarded to the Health Department.

25-006169 Trespassing 22:33:52 09/06/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. A person who was previously trespassed from the property was issued a criminal citation for trespassing in the second degree.

25-006171 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:02:44 09/06/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a single vehicle collision. Three juvenile occupants were fortunate to escape without major injuries. Driver inexperience and speed appeared to be contributing factors.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7
25-006180 Theft 16:15:37 09/07/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a reported theft. The caller advised that their bicycle was stolen from the Southend. The investigation is ongoing. The incident was documented.

25-006181 Theft 16:15:51 09/07/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a theft complaint at a local business. The caller advised that their phone booth had been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
25-006193 Welfare Check 09:55:33 09/08/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a welfare check. It was determined to be unfounded.

25-006197 Found Property 10:30:53 09/08/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island received found property. The property was returned to its owner.

25-006203 Animal Bite 12:26:23 09/08/25
A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to a dog bite complaint. The incident was previously documented.

25-006220 Trespassing 19:55:47 09/08/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report from a local establishment that wished to trespass someone. The Deputy located the individual and served a them with a trespass warning letter. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
25-006230 Found Property 09:24:19 09/09/25
The Sheriff’s Office took possession of lost and found property. The item was entered into the evidence system to be returned to owner.

25-006233 Overdose 10:14:18 09/09/25
A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a residence on San Juan Island for an overdose. The patient was transported to the hospital.
