A Lopez Island resident reported receiving two “robocalls” that were believed to be a fraud scam. The resident wisely did not respond to the calls, despite the threat of “legal action.”

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a trespassing call near Deer Harbor. The reporting party wished to have someone served with a Trespass Warning Letter. The person was found and stated they understood that if they returned they would be arrested.

An unknown person shined a light into a Lopez business late at night and spooked an employee. Upon investigation, the person in question was seeking assistance. They were staying in a nearby lodge and were unsure of how to unlock and access their room.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an animal sick. Multiple cats were located deceased on the reporting party’s property. There is no known cause at this time.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a barking dog that was going non-stop from 10p-4a. The dog owner was identified and contacted about the situation.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about vandalism to a vehicle. A side window was discovered broken in an unlocked car parked in a rural residential driveway. A rock, thrown by a riding lawnmower, was determined to be the culprit.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to a reported vandalism to a utility cable. The utility company advised the customer it was likely a system problem rather than a line problem.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched with Orcas Island Fire & Rescue to a boating accident on the north shore of Orcas. The reporting party advised that the boat was on the rocks. The sole occupant of the vessel was rescued by the USCG helicopter crew and transported for medical treatment.

A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of hunters trespassing on private property. The hunters were gone when the Deputy arrived. The matter is under investigation.

A San Juan Deputy investigated a report of a hit-and-run collision in the 300 block of Argyle. The suspect vehicle was not identified, and a report was taken.

A vehicle slowly drove by a Lopez property. The occupants of the vehicle were looking out the window and yelling. No crime occurred. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a disorderly conduct call. Two citizens drove around the ferry terminal yelling at people. They had departed the scene by the time a Deputy arrived. A report was taken.
