18-007061 Aircraft Problem 08:21:39 09/12/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a downed aircraft at a local runway on San Juan Island. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The aircraft had major damage.
18-007077 Domestic Dispute or Assault 16:34:27 09/12/18
Deputies responded to a Domestic on San Juan Island. Upon arrival the Deputies learned the incident was only a verbal argument and an information report was made. No further investigation.
18-007079 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:50:49 09/12/18
San Juan units responded to a complaint of suspicious activity at Sunken Park. Several transients who had been warned several times about causing problems locally were trespassed from the park.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a criminal trespass complaint. No trespasser was located and there was no obvious evidence of a crime. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with a Decatur Island resident regarding a credit card fraud complaint. The reporting person stated that a person known to him stole money by making several on-line money transactions without his permission. The matter is being investigated.

A Deputy was requested for an on going trespass issue at a Lopez Island property. A report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy completed a report involving the theft of a home audio speaker.
18-007145 Citizen Dispute 16:42:20 09/14/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor. A report was taken.
18-007147 Custodial Interference 17:16:21 09/14/18
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a custodial interference call. The reporting party advised that their ex-spouse was refusing to turn over custody of their common children, which violated the court ordered parenting plan. A report was taken.
18-007149 Found Property 17:53:31 09/14/18
A Deputy spoke with a Lopez Island resident regarding found property. The reporting person reported finding a canoe on his beach. The owner was located and arrangements for him to retrieve his lost canoe were made. A report was completed.
18-007150 Accident-Injury, Traffic 18:35:32 09/14/18
A Deputy was dispatched to an injury collision in Friday Harbor. The driver was later cited for DUI, DWLS/R 3rd Degree and an infraction for no insurance.
18-007154 Runaway Juvenile 19:34:42 09/14/18
San Juan Deputies were advised of a Juvenile Runaway. The parent was contacted and a pickup order was completed. Other local agencies were advised to be on the lookout.
18-007155 Controlled Substance Problem 19:55:50 09/14/18
A Deputy met with a Lopez Island resident regarding found drug paraphernalia. The resident gave the Deputy a zip lock plastic bag containing a syringe and drug paraphernalia. The resident stated they had just found the items while walking near Port Stanley Road. The items were disposed of.

A Seattle woman reported her adult daughter missing to Lopez Island Deputies when the daughter did not show up at their meeting point for their return to Seattle. A Deputy located the daughter a short time later safe and sound. The daughter called mom.

18-007190 Accident-Injury, Traffic 06:52:13 09/16/18
A Lopez Island Deputy responded with fire and EMS to a reported motor vehicle crash at Center Rd at School Rd. Responders arrived to find only some debris remaining. The driver and vehicle had left the scene and were not located.
18-007210 Wanted Person 19:16:34 09/16/18
A Deputy on Orcas arrested a subject with an outstanding warrant. The subject posted bail and was released with a promise to appear in court.
18-007212 Assault – Body Force 20:26:35 09/16/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The reporting Deputy arrived and discovered one of the persons had left the area. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to a walk in report of found property. The Deputy was unable to locate an owner for the property and it was submitted to the evidence room as found property. Report made. No further investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of Juvenile Problem in Friday Harbor. An informational report was taken.

A Deputy was requested to perform a welfare check on a Lopez person. This person was found in good condition with no immediate care needs.

A Deputy responded to the Orcas Ferry Landing on a report of a Domestic Dispute. Further investigation revealed the dispute was verbal only and no threats were made. The parties decided to separate and there were no further issues.

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of a non-injury collision that actually was a vehicle that failed to obey a flagger.

A Deputy responded to a phone report of a threat call. The Deputy made phone contact with the caller who resides in BC Canada and gathered the information for a report. Information report made.
