A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island business for a threats complaint. The reporting person stated she received a copy of a typed letter which contained suspicious statements about a violent movie. The writer claimed they would be coming to the business in the future. An investigation is being conducted.
19-007857 Harassment 15:55:11 09/11/19
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of harassment. The incident was investigated and no criminal act was noted.

A Deputy arrested a Wanted person in Friday Harbor. They were taken into custody and held until their arraignment.
19-007876 Theft 13:49:05 09/12/19
A Deputy took a report of a theft from a residence in Eastsound. The suspect(s) took a valuable bass playing bow from a case. The investigation is ongoing.
19-007884 Threats 21:18:25 09/12/19
San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a report of threats. The incident was investigated and no crime occurred. The incident was documented and forwarded to an outside agency.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance located off of Roche Harbor Rd. The two subjects separated and a report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for DUI, hit and run and reckless endangerment.
19-007910 Citizen Dispute 21:30:04 09/13/19
A Deputy was dispatched to a Citizen Dispute in the San Juan Island area. Contact was made. Report taken.
19-007912 Mental Health 23:35:44 09/13/19
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a mental subject inside a local business in Friday Harbor. The Deputies located the subject and were able to calm them down. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding a sick deer on private property that the landowner believed needed to be euthanized. After speaking to the landowner, the caller was referred to state Fish and Wildlife officials.

A Deputy was on duty as a Deputy with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, in uniform and driving their marked patrol car. They struck a deer with the patrol car.
19-007942 Traffic Stop 00:27:15 09/15/19
A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. Infractions were issued for traveling 34 MPH in a 25 MPH speed zone and open marijuana in vehicle.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a broken down vehicle blocking Beaverton Valley Rd. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and was booked into the San Juan County jail.

A Deputy on Orcas Island issued a ticket for violation of San Juan County Code 10.28.010 – Mooring at a Public Landing.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle prowl in the Eastsound area. The investigation is ongoing.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident on Orcas Road. The driver was not with the vehicle on scene but was located at a nearby residence uninjured. The vehicle was towed
from the scene. A report was taken.
19-008002 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 08:24:24 09/17/19
A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of a suspicious subject outside a local business. An information report was taken.
19-008003 Boating Problem 09:35:52 09/17/19
Lopez Island emergency responders, sheriff, fire and EMS were sent to Shoal Bay on a report of a kayaker that had vanished in gale conditions. The kayaker was located safe at Spencer’s Landing Marina.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a suspicious subject and vehicle. When the Deputy checked the area, neither were located.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. The driver was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs.
