22-007323 Malicious Mischief 13:52:35 10/06/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the West Beach Resort for a report of a vandalism. Unknown suspect(s) entered and destroyed one of the glamping tents on the resort grounds causing approximately $1300.00 worth of damage. There are no suspect leads.
22-007325 Juvenile Problem 15:16:34 10/06/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a juvenile problem. The Deputy documented a reported incident of ongoing bullying at one of the schools.

22-007341 Found Property 08:36:32 10/07/22
A Deputy responded to a Found Property report in Friday Harbor. The reporting party found a blue bag containing some personal items in the parking at Jackson’s Beach. An owner was unable to be identified and the bag was entered into the property room per policy.

An Orcas Island Deputy served a subject with a no trespass warning letter baring him from Cons Pit-Stop at 274 A. St.

A Lopez Deputy responded to an order violation call. A report was taken and probable cause for driving with a suspended license was written.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the 5000 block of Deer Harbor Rd. for found property. A resident located a knife on the side of the roadway. The knife was confiscated for destruction.

Lopez Deputies responded to a fist fight at the Islander. One individual attacked another following an insensitive joke. Probable cause for assault was drafted.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to Found Property. The person turned in several id cards, credit cards, and business cards located in a parking lot. Items entered into the evidence. Report taken.

A Lopez Deputy issued a parking infraction for a boom lift that was left for multiple days and nights at Odlin County Park day use parking lot.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an order violation. The suspect had violated the distance requirements outlined on the order as well as entered a building they were barred from. The suspect was arrested for the order violation and trespassing in the first degree.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of suspicious activity. An unknown male walked into a store and made an employee very uncomfortable with the questions he was asking and statements he made. The victim provided a description of the individual. A report was completed.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic incident. On arrival the Deputies found the incident to be a neighbor dispute. Investigation revealed that no crime occurred; an information report was generated.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The incident was verbal in nature and the people involved were going to separate location. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to a Theft in the San Juan Island area. The person had observed another person with a political sign in their hands. The person provided a vehicle license and description of the person to the Deputy. Investigation continues. Report taken.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a citizen dispute. There was insufficient evidence to believe a crime had been committed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived at the location. Only one person was on scene while the other had left in a vehicle to an unknown location. The person advised the argument had been verbal in nature and there was no signs of a crime.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Found Property in the Friday Harbor area. A person turned in a credit card into the Sheriff’s Office. The credit card was entered into evidence. Report taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to the Jail with EMS for an in-custody individual who requested EMS services. The individual became verbally uncooperative with EMS and Deputies. EMS determined the individual was still clear to be in jail. A report was completed.
22-007400 Accident-Injury, Traffic 20:01:13 10/09/22
Deputies on Orcas Island responded along with Orcas Fire and EMS personnel to a single vehicle collision. The driver was issued a notice of infraction for no proof of liability insurance.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a welfare check. There does not appear to be any crime committed at this time and the report was sent to Adult Protective Services for follow up.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a burglary complaint. The Deputy contacted the complainant. After investigation, the Deputy determined the complaint was unfounded.

San Juan Deputies attempted to bring an inmate to the hospital for a mental evaluation. Before the transport, there appeared to be a medical event and San Juan EMS was paged to respond. The inmate was transported to the hospital.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an animal cruelty complaint. After investigation, the complaint was determined to be unfounded.

A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to a possible assault call that had
happened the day prior in Eastsound. After an investigation was completed, it
was found that no crime had been committed. An informational report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a fraud call. Over 25,000.00 was discovered missing. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Alarm in the Friday Harbor area. A panic alarm at a business had been activated. Deputies stood by until person left the business. Person was found to be in violation of probation conditions. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to a found property call in Friday Harbor. The reporting party turned in a found wallet, the owner was contacted, and the wallet was returned to the owner.

Deputies responded to a report of disorderly conduct in Friday Harbor. One person was found walking in the middle of the street, and so extremely intoxicated that he fell down and was deemed to be a danger to himself & others. He was taken into protective custody and taken to the hospital

A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle as the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The driver and passenger switched seats when the Deputy was turning around and the original driver was arrested and booked. The passenger was issued a criminal citation for making a false statement.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of domestic in a vehicle that moved from one location to another. The parties were separated upon arrival, and it was determined that it was verbal only. A report was completed.
