A Lopez Island man reported a dog running at large in the area of Mud Bay and Mackaye Harbor Rd. The dog returned home on its own before the deputy arrived. No further action necessary

A Deputy responded to a report of Fraud in Eastsound. There were several businesses that were called about a bill that was over due by the power company. This was not true and the number went back to a call center in another state. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy recognized and contacted a wanted subject at the Village Green. The warrants were confirmed and the subject was placed under arrest.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a suicidal subject. The subject, who became assaultive, was taken into protective custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a domestic disturbance in Friday Harbor. It was found to be only verbal and parties separated voluntarily. Settled by Contact.

Orcas Deputies responded to an unresponsive subject in a vehicle. First responders arrived on scene and found no signs of life. The subject was pronounced deceased. The Coroner responded to the scene. A report was taken.

A deputy responded to a report of a theft of medication on Orcas Island. An investigation was completed and report taken.
16-007692 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:25:20 10/08/16
A SJC Sheriff Deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle in an Eastsound neighborhood. Two occupants where with the vehicle. Upon arrival, one person fled the scene on foot. It is believed the subject may have had some local warrants. The investigation remains open.

Deputy responded to the Fox hall neighborhood to investigate juveniles randomly
knocking on doors. The juveniles were identified and parents contacted. No
further Law Enforcement action taken.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a person that was having mental problems. The Deputy talked with this person and determined that they were having mental issues but was not a danger to themselves or others at this time.

A Deputy received a call back in regards to another stolen portable toilet from an Eastsound residential construction site. This may be a civil matter. A report was taken with a referral to the Prosecutors Office.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a death investigation. The investigation showed that a male died at the residence from apparent natural causes.
