A Friday Harbor resident violated a temporary order of protection by calling the protected party on her cell phone. This occurred in Friday Harbor.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of Domestic Violence in Friday Harbor. After further investigation the male juvenile was taken into custody Assault 4th Degree/DV.
16-008105 Parking Problem 14:17:22 10/27/16
A deputy received a complaint of vehicles parking in the no parking zone
on Grover and making it dangerous for children using the crosswalk to and from
the Elementary School. A vehicle was parked in the no parking zone. I issued a
parking infraction.
16-008112 Animal at Large 19:51:39 10/27/16
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to the area of Hummel Lake for a loose calf
complaint on 10/27/16. The calf was gone upon the Deputy’s arrival. A report
was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a residential burglary that occurred in Eastsound. This may be part of an on-going investigation. A suspect may be known. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a vehicle theft on Orcas. The vehicle was found with items stolen out of it. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a Burglary call by the Orcas Ferry terminal. Nothing was found damaged or missing at this time. A report was taken.
16-008122 Mental Health 11:10:47 10/28/16
A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a report of a Lopez woman with a mental health problem. The situation did not warrant involuntary treatment.
16-008124 Animal at Large 12:07:20 10/28/16
A Lopez deputy took a report of a dog found wandering in the area of Richardson Road. Dog was boarded overnight and released to the owner the next day.
16-008127 Traffic Violation 15:08:48 10/28/16
An Orcas Island man reported a driver of a local business was not driving safely and could have caused a traffic collision. The business was contacted and warned about the incident. A report was taken.
16-008129 Traffic Stop 17:01:53 10/28/16
A deputy initiated a traffic on Orcas Island on a vehicle that was speeding. The driver was contacted and issued a citation for speeding, 59 mph in a 40 mph zone.
16-008130 Lost Property 17:02:52 10/28/16
Lopez Deputies responded to a lost property complaint on 10/28/16. The reporting
person thought her missing item may have been stolen. The item was subsequently
returned to the reporting person and it was determine that no crime had occurred. No further action was required.

Lopez Island Deputies contacted a motorist near the Lopez Village for a traffic violation. It was learned the driver had a loaded pistol in his vehicle and no CPL. The driver claimed he did not know it was illegal to carry a loaded pistol in his car. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to the 2500 block of Orcas Road on a single vehicle accident. No driver was found on scene. OIFR Personnel did an area search and did not find anyone. Accident report and tow impound report done via Sector

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of vehicle theft in Friday Harbor. Investigation Continues.
16-008164 Wanted Person 16:27:22 10/29/16
A deputy was dispatched to a report of a wanted person in the area of Spring Street and Argyle Ave in Friday Harbor. The subject was located behind the Convalescent Center on Spring street and taken into custody without incident.
16-008171 Noise Complaint /not dogs 21:38:36 10/29/16
A Lopez Island deputy was sent to investigate gunshots heard after dark along Fisherman Bay. The area was checked and the deputy remained in the area for several minutes, but the source of the shots could not be determined.

A Deputy received a report of a shots fired on Shaw Island. Deputies responded to the island and discovered that the individual had been setting off fireworks earlier.

The reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor are in reference to a Domestic. One of the involved subjects attempted to leave the area by vehicle. The vehicle was stopped. After an investigation, one subject was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs and Assault

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a domestic. The investigation showed that the couple was having a verbal argument and that no physical altercation took place. This report is for information only.
16-008180 Juvenile Problem 10:18:16 10/30/16
A deputy responded to a Friday Harbor residence reference a curfew violation. Upon arrival I contacted the parents who advised me their daughter had left the house sometime through the night. The juvenile arrived home a short time later and was interviewed.

A Friday Harbor resident reported multiple banking accounts opened in his name. The victim has not suffered a monetary loss and has reported the incident to his bank. He was advised to contact the three credit bureaus and will report if a loss occurs.

Sheriffs Deputies responded to 124 Channel Heights Way reference a Trouble Unknown. The response found a DV incident had just occurred and a juvenile male was arrested. During his investigation it was found an assault had also occurred the day before involving the same juvenile male.

A citizen made contact with a Deputy at the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office in Friday Harbor reference her ex-boyfriend coming into her residence. The incident was settled by contact and the report is for information only.

A deputy was dispatched to the Port of Friday Harbor in reference to an Unwanted subject. There was an intoxicated subject that kept jumping into the water at the port. The subject was transported to ER for treatment. No law enforcement action needed.

A female turned herself into the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office on outstanding warrants. The female who was wanted for violations of court conditions was booked without incident.

A deputy received notification from the protected party of a Temporary Protection Order that the restrained person has violated the order. This was the subjects third violation. The subject was arrested and placed into custody. This incident occurred in Friday Harbor.
16-008210 Parking Problem 11:19:00 10/31/16
S Deputy found a vehicle parked in a designated handicapped parking space with out a placard or handicapped license plate in the 100 blk A Street. After 20 minutes, no one returned. A parking ticket was issued.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Orcas Island resort in regards to an attempted theft. Video surveillance caught the known suspect on camera. The suspect is already in custody on another case. A report was taken and forwarded to the Prosecutor.

A Deputy was dispatched to a death investigation in Friday Harbor. Upon completion of the investigation it was found there was no evidence to show the incident was anything other than natural causes. An informational report was completed.

A citizen came to the Sheriff’s sub-station to report a stolen laptop computer possibly out of her residence. A report was taken.

A reporting deputy was dispatched to a Suicide Attempt in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved subject. The involved subject was transported to ER at Peace island Medical Center for an evaluation.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Orcas substation to contact a reporting party who stated they were assaulted. The Deputy arrived and contacted the reporting party. A report was completed.
16-008228 Unwanted Person 09:24:29 11/01/16
A Deputy was dispatched to an unwanted person at a local business. The subject was being abusive and refused to leave. The subject left the business. She is known as a person with severe mental illness.
16-008231 Juvenile Problem 13:00:55 11/01/16
A juvenile at the Friday Harbor Elementary School made comments to another student that were threatening in nature. The Sheriffs Office responded. School personnel decided the threat will be handled at the school level. The students residence was checked to ensure she had no access to weapons.

A Lopez Island deputy was called about an on going problem with dogs running at large from a south end residence. The dog owner was contacted and asked to keep the dogs home. A report was taken.
16-008237 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:16:18 11/01/16
The reporting Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. The investigation determined the incident to be verbal only in nature. Involved parties agreed to stay away from each other for the night.
