A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a residential burglary. A report was taken.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of an order violation. The individual was located and was arrested for violating the protection order. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a dog bite. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a Lopez business for a threat call. The incident was documented.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26
23-008506 Accident-NonInj 12:29:17 10/26/23
A San Juan Deputy learned of a cold collision that occurred in the ferry lanes. Both parties exchanged insurance and contact information prior to reporting the incident and had left the area. A collision report was generated.
23-008509 Accident-Injury, Traffic 14:05:07 10/26/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a collision on Roche Harbor Rd. No injuries appeared to have occurred. Deputies facilitated the exchange of information and completed a collision report.

Deputies responded to the Hostel in Friday Harbor to respond to a man in mental crisis. He was taken to the Peace Island Medical Center for evaluation.

Lopez Fire Department and a Deputy responded to a tripped fire alarm at the school. There was no fire. The alarm system was found to be faulty.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a suspicious circumstance. The matter was investigated, no crime had occurred.

Deputies on San Juan Island were dispatched to an agency assist with a mental health patient. The patient was assisted to a safe location.

Deputies on San Juan Island were dispatched to a report of an alcohol offense. One person was issued a citation for minor in possession/consumption of alcohol.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28

A Deputy was called to a domestic dispute between a couple in which one person was said to be unwelcome and wouldn’t leave. After contacting the parties, they were separated and arrangements were made for one party to take shelter in a local hotel.

Deputies responded to a reported accidental drug intake of a child in a home. EMS crews responded and medical care was provided. The case is under further investigation.

I was driving eastbound on Cattle Point Road when I observed a Gold Acura that was parked on the side of the road, blocking a driveway in the 1100 block of Cattle Point Road, in violation of RCW 46.61.570.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an assault. The suspect was issued a criminal citation for assault in the fourth degree and malicious mischief in the third degree.

A Lopez resident requested assistance with a chronic barking dog problem. The Deputy located the property owner and will follow up with them for a solution.

A Lopez Island Deputy was contacted by an individual wanting to report littering. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to the Islander for an overturned Dingy. The owner was notified, and the incident was documented.

Lopez EMS and a Deputy responded to a minor single vehicle non-injury collision.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an agency assist.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a trespassing call near Deer Harbor. One person involved was found to have a warrant, was arrested, and transported to Friday Harbor.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to an order violation in Eastsound. The suspect was arrested and taken to Friday Harbor.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a citizen assist. A parent of an infant took the child to their home, but then the infant would not stop crying. Because of the crying infant, the parent wanted to return it to the other parents residence. The infant was returned home. A report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to an civil issue related to property use. Enforcement action can likely occur following a court ruling.
23-008606 Weapons Offense 12:32:59 10/31/23
A Lopez resident reported illegal hunting and trespassing. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white, older, long-bodied pick-up truck.
23-008609 Fraud 14:30:56 10/31/23
A report of fraud was made by a local bank branch. Two individuals were cashing checks on a closed account into their account. Both individuals are currently in Florida.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a welfare check. The individual did not wish to speak with Deputies. The reporting party was already in contact with Compass Health and would continue with follow up. A report was completed.
