WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22
25-007302 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:34:08 10/22/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a suspicious incident near downtown Eastsound. The reporting party explained that a male with possible mental health concerns was acting suspicious. The Deputy conducted a search for the person and was unable to locate anyone. The incident was documented.

25-007306 Trespassing 11:12:49 10/22/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a trespassing incident at a business in Eastsound. The Deputy learned that it was a civil matter and both parties worked out the dispute for now. No one was trespassed during the incident and the incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a property dispute. The matter was determined to be civil in nature.

25-007314 Theft 17:18:32 10/22/25
A theft of a purse was reported in the Eastsound area. An Orcas Deputy contacted the reporting party. A report was taken. The investigation is still ongoing.

An Orcas Island Deputy received information of a recent scam. If you receive a phone call about anyone attempting to cancel your landline phone service, it’s probably a scam. Never provide anyone with personal identifiable information or monetary account information over the phone or online.

25-007335 Vicious Animal 15:15:55 10/23/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal problem in the Olga area. The Deputy located the dog at large and delivered the dog to its owner. The Deputy issued a written warning to the dog owner for animal at large. The incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal problem in Eastsound. The Deputy located the dog at large and delivered the dog to its owner. The Deputy learned that the owner had a warrant for their arrest. Subsequently the owner was arrested and taken into custody.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24
25-007354 Animal Bite 14:34:52 10/24/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a dog bite. The victims are the owners of the dog. The Deputy completed an animal bite report and forwarded it to the San Juan County Health Department.

25-007356 Found Property 14:49:32 10/24/25
A cell phone was turned over to a Lopez Deputy. The phone was booked into evidence. The owner was not located.

25-007357 Trespassing 15:09:16 10/24/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The complainant wished to have two people who had previously been issued trespass warning letters charged for violating same.

25-007359 Fraud 15:16:52 10/24/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a fraud incident near the Eastsound area. The Deputy authored a report for the business owner. No crime was committed.

A Lopez man was trespassed from a village business after being warned not to sleep on the property.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25
25-007373 Domestic Dispute or Assault 07:58:00 10/25/25
A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office about a Domestic that occurred in the San Juan Island area. The person had a verbal argument with their boyfriend. The incident was not criminal but the person was referred to another agency for services. Report taken.

25-007375 Accident-HitRun 09:37:07 10/25/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an accident hit and run in the downtown Eastsound area. The Deputy learned that an exchange of information occurred. No one was hurt and the incident was documented for insurance purposes.

A homeless male on Lopez is suspected of vandalizing a vending machine at the ferry terminal.

25-007378 Malicious Mischief 11:41:19 10/25/25
A homeless Lopez man is suspected of vandalism at the Chamber of Commerce office.

25-007390 Animal at Large 15:52:18 10/25/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a dog-at-large complaint. The owner was issued a dog-at-large warning letter.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a found wallet. The wallet was entered into evidence as found property.

25-007397 Accident-HitRun 18:07:41 10/25/25
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a hit and run collision. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for DUI, resisting, obstructing, hit and run – attended, DWLS 3rd degree, and refusing to give information to an officer.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 26
25-007416 Trespassing 15:14:51 10/26/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of trespassing. Ultimately, the individual fought the Deputies and was taken into custody and booked into the San Juan County Jail for Burglary 2, Assault 3 (x2), Malicious Mischief 3 (x2), Theft 3, and resisting arrest.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a malicious mischief. Currently there are no suspects.

25-007420 Found Property 15:57:04 10/26/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a found property. A ring had been found and was brought into the Sheriff’s Office. It is unknown who the ring belongs to. The Deputy booked the ring into evidence as found property.

Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of an unwanted person. This report is for information.

25-007449 Death Investigation 20:49:02 10/27/25
Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in the Eastsound area. The individual was located and pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident was documented.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of someone who had been hit by a car. After speaking with the involved individuals, it was learned that the bloody male half broke the car window on his own out of anger. Neither party would cooperate further and declined EMS. A report was completed.

Lopez island Deputies were dispatched to a trespassing complaint. The individual was contacted and advised that he needed to leave the area. The
incident was documented.

Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to a reported assault at a local business. One of the involved individuals was taken into custody. The incident was documented.
