A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of two escaped dogs. The dogs entered a neighbor’s coop and killed a chicken. The dogs were returned to their owner, who was issued an infraction.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic incident. The involved parties argued about vehicle paperwork. After talking with involved individuals, there was insufficient evidence to prove that a crime had been committed. A report was completed.

Lopez Deputies responded when an unoccupied vehicle rolled off an embankment on Fisherman Bay Road, nearly going into the water. There were no injuries, and the truck was undamaged.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Order Violation in the Friday Harbor area. A person had contacted dispatch and advised they were violating a court order. Deputy confirmed the violation by contacting the person. Report taken.

Theft of a trespassing sign was reported. The sign was taken from the gate at the entrance to a driveway. It is believed the sign was taken some time in the early morning hours. After an investigation, it was not located.

A Deputy was contacted about a possible Fraud. The person claimed that they used a credit card at a local business. They noticed a second charge to their card. They were disputing the charge with their credit card company. Report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a theft report. The RP reported her dog an Australian Kelpie was lost and possibly stolen from the West Beach area sometime around 11/26/2023. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a hit and run. The Deputy took the report from the victim. It is currently unknown who the suspect is in this case.
