A Lopez Island Deputy was called to check on a dinghy that had washed ashore along Mud Bay in the windstorm.
19-009871 Attempted Suicide 10:51:43 11/27/19
Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in the Orcas area. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to the mainland for an evaluation. A report was taken.
19-009884 Trespassing 18:17:17 11/27/19
A Deputy met with a Lopez Island store owner regarding suspicious persons on his property. The store owner requested that the two persons be told that they were criminal trespassed from his store property. Trespass Warning Letters will be served to the two involved persons. A report was completed.
19-009885 Welfare Check 18:21:04 11/27/19
A Deputy was dispatched a Welfare Check in Friday Harbor. They were later transported to the Medical Center for evaluation.

A Deputy was advised by dispatch there was a male in the lobby who wanted to turn himself in.

Lopez Deputy performed a welfare check and found the person to be just fine. Relatives could not reach this person due to phone line issues.

A Lopez resident reported the overnight theft of his mailbox and post. The mailbox was located the next day, tossed into the woods nearby. A Deputy collected the mailbox and will examine it for fingerprints.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to look for a possible DUI driver. The vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.
19-009927 Theft 16:35:15 11/29/19
A Deputy on Orcas Island took a missing property complaint. The investigation is on-going.

A Lopez Deputy was contacted regarding a civil dispute stemming from the sale of a boat. The incident was documented in a report and possible solutions were offered.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident hit and run. A report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy arrested a man for trespassing. A report was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a theft complaint. The victim was contacted and an investigation commenced.

A loose dog was located by a citizen on Cattle Point Rd on San Juan Island. The dog was known to the Sheriff’s Office from numerous similar incidents. She was returned to the owner who was issued an infraction for Dog-at-Large.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a report of a man yelling obscenities. The Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the man.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding a suspicious subject seen walking down a long secluded driveway. The subject was located, and found to be the new homeowner, unknown to many of his watchful neighbors.
19-009979 Wanted Person 15:52:54 12/01/19
Deputies on Orcas Island located a wanted person. The person was arrested and booked into the San Juan County Jail.
19-009980 Traffic Hazard 17:01:06 12/01/19
A Lopez resident reported two intoxicated people were walking in the road at night. A Deputy located the couple and provided a courtesy transport home.

A Deputy responded to a report of lost property on one of the Washington State Ferries. A report was completed.
19-009991 Accident-HitRun 13:17:07 12/02/19
A Deputy responded to a walk in delayed report of a hit and run that occurred approximately 3 weeks prior. There was no suspect information and a report was made for insurance purposes.
19-009993 Wanted Person 16:18:31 12/02/19
A Deputy contacted a subject in the courthouse who had a warrant for her arrest. The subject was taken into custody and was booked into the San Juan County Jail.

A Lopez Island Deputy, along with Lopez Fire and EMS responded to a vehicle crash at a village area business. A driver attempting to park, stepped on the gas rather than the brake and the car crashed into landscape boulders. The driver was not hurt, and damage was minimal.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call from a residence. The elderly caller had dialed 9-1-1 inadvertently.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a sex offense. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an animal cruelty complaint. The complaint was determined to be unfounded.
