A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a business burglary near Eastsound. A report was filed.

20-010020 Trespassing 11:45:25 11/25/20
A Deputy responded to a report of a trespassing at South Beach on San Juan Island. One person was issued a trespass letter and a report was made.

20-010022 Traffic Violation 12:08:22 11/25/20
A driver reported to San Juan Deputies that a dump truck was driving and dropping gravel in the roadway. Several rocks hit his vehicle’s hood but the driver did not report any significant paint damage. A report was taken for documentation purposes.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a theft of an old gun from his home. The investigation is on-going.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a report of an assault involving a juvenile near Eastsound. San Juan County Juvenile Services were contacted and a report was filed.

A driver reported to San Juan Deputies that a dump truck was driving and dropping gravel in the roadway, damaging their vehicle windshield. No workable lead at this time. Report made.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a hit and run collision. The driver was located and charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor.

San Juan Deputies took a report of a male in his 20s making inappropriate and rude comments to kids in a park. An area check was negative for the male, it was determined that no crime was committed, and was and a report was taken.

Deputies responded to a trouble unknown call on Orcas Island. It was discovered that a female was experiencing an altered state of mind. The female was deemed to be gravely disabled and was transported to Peace Island Hospital via patrol boat.

A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle for expired registration as well as the registered owner of the vehicle having a suspended driver’s license. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, DWLS 3rd degree and ignition interlock violation. Several infractions were also issued.

Lopez Deputies responded to a verbal domestic incident. No crime was committed. A report was completed.

20-010064 Trespassing 12:25:08 11/27/20
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a trespassing in progress. The subject was located and arrested for trespassing in the second degree.

20-010081 Traffic Stop 22:05:03 11/27/20
A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle as the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The driver was arrested for DWLS 3rd degree and for an ignition interlock violation. An infraction for no insurance was also issued.

A Deputy on San Juan stopped a driver for utilizing a personal electronic device while operating a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested for DUI and issued infractions for no valid operator’s license, no insurance and driving while using a cell phone.

20-010094 Animal at Large 13:15:29 11/28/20
A hiker called San Juan Deputies about found a dog on the Mt. Grant trails. The dog appeared healthy but had no identification or collar, and no one in the area saw its person. Deputies turned it over to the Animal Protection Society.

A citizen turned in an old .38 revolver to the Sheriff’s Office for disposal.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a disorderly conduct in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a domestic incident involving a juvenile and an adult caregiver. There was sufficient probable cause developed to believe the juvenile had assaulted the adult. The case was referred to Juvenile Court Services.

San Juan Deputies took a report from a citizen of a drone flying too close over her head while she was on her own property. The complainant took photos of the drone but there were no workable leads. A report was taken.

20-010147 Citizen Assist 22:05:33 11/29/20
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Trespass in the San Juan Island area. The person was contacted and a Trespass Warning Letter was signed for service. A report was taken.

20-010148 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:56:36 11/29/20
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved in the incident. After interviewing all the people, no crime was committed. Report was taken.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30
20-010152 Controlled Substance Problem 07:14:56 11/30/20
A Deputy responded to the ferry landing for a report of found drug paraphernalia found in a toilet paper roll in one of the restrooms aboard the Samish Ferry. The paraphernalia was collected and the paraphernalia was booked into the evidence room per policy to be destroyed. Report made.

A Deputy on San Juan took a report of a fraud. There are no suspects or workable leads to investigate. The incident was documented.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1
20-010176 Agency Assistance 07:35:23 12/01/20
A San Juan Deputy checked on a client for Adult Protective Services. The client was in good condition and a report was made to document the concern.

20-010179 Fraud 10:27:08 12/01/20
A San Juan Island Deputy responded to a report of a fraud attempt with no loss incurred. The caller stated she got an email alert informing her that there was an unsuccessful attempt by an unknown person to open two credit card accounts in her name. There is no suspect information & report made.

20-010181 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:21:08 12/01/20
A Deputy responded to a report of a Domestic incident in Friday Harbor. After speaking with both parties involved it was determined that the incident was a verbal argument & no crime occurred. DV handout was provided to the caller, referral sent to Safe San Juans, and report made.

20-010189 Assault – Body Force 18:31:22 12/01/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a possible domestic. One person was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
