A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a suspicious call. The incident was documented.

23-008945 Found Property 13:46:16 11/15/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of found property. An individual located an unoccupied aluminum skiff adrift in the San Juan Channel and brought it back to the Port of Friday Harbor. If you are missing your skiff, please contact the Sheriff’s Office to identify it.

A Deputy took a report of lost property. A pair of Airpods were lost from a school district on Orcas Island. There are no leads as to where the Airpods may have gone at this point.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a threats call. The incident was documented.

Ad Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a traffic hazard. A vehicle was towed due to being parked in the lane of travel.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16
23-008963 Weapon Safekeeping 12:09:32 11/16/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Safekeeping Call. The person was requesting to turn in several firearms per court order for Safekeeping. The person was out of county but arranged for another person to turn over the firearms. The Deputy obtained the firearms and entered them into evidence.

23-008970 Theft 14:45:57 11/16/23
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a mail theft call. The incident was documented.

23-008975 Theft 19:04:22 11/16/23
A San Juan Deputy observed someone stealing from a local grocery store. The individual entered their vehicle and drove from the store before the Deputy contacted them. They were arrested for theft 3rd degree and DWLS 3rd degree.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17
23-008982 Vicious Animal 10:24:24 11/17/23
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to an animal problem call. The caller advised that two dogs were attacking their livestock and were subsequently shot by the farmer. Criminal charges are pending for the dog’s owner for allowing them to be a public nuisance and attack animals.

23-008984 Trespassing 10:42:32 11/17/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespassing in the Friday Harbor area. The area was checked and a camp was located but no person was on scene. Area will be checked again. Report taken.

23-008997 Diabetic BLS 19:01:28 11/17/23
An Orcas Deputy responded to assist EMS with a possible difficult person experiencing a medical episode. During the assistance, a spring blade knife was found in the males pocket. The knife was booked and the report was submitted to the prosecuting attorney’s office.

A Deputy responded to an Orcas Island residence on a report of an intentional overdose. The subject was transported via EMS transport to an off island hospital for care.

A Lopez Island Deputy was approached to report lost property. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Fraud callback. The reporting party stated their mother had fallen to a possible scam and needed to make a report. The case is ongoing.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19
23-009030 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:29:53 11/19/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The incident involved a parent and child arguing about chores. Both agreed to give
the other space. Report taken.

Deputies responded to a Friday Harbor residence on a report of a trespassing male. Upon investigation, it was determined he was not trespassing.

A Lopez Island Deputy was approached and notified of an assault that occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a possible domestic near West Sound. After an investigation was completed it was found there was no crime committed. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was contacted reporting that their dogs got loose the day prior. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a callback regarding the hunting incident that occurred over the weekend. The RP provided information they believed to be pertinent. It was added to the case files.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an agency assist callback regarding the hunting incident that occurred over the weekend. The caller was with the Bureau of Land Management and was inquiring about the incident.
