A Lopez Deputy responded a fraud call. A Lopez citizen gave away thousands of dollars to a caller impersonating Microsoft and their banking institution. The incident was documented.

25-007845 Abandoned Vehicle 07:44:32 11/12/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an abandoned vehicle in Eastsound. The Deputy learned that the vehicle was previously tagged abandoned. The Deputy submitted a tow authorization form to San Juan County Public Works to remove the vehicle. The incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an accident hit and run in the Eastsound area. The reporting party claims this may have been a road rage incident. If you are involved in a road rage situation do not engage and dial 911 for assistance.

An Orcas Island Deputy assisted Adult Protective Services (APS) by investigating a claim that was made with APS. The Deputy learned that the allegations were unfounded, and that no crime was committed. The incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy was a witness to citizen assist incident in the Eastsound area. The Deputy observed a citizen drive over a speed bump which may have damaged the citizen’s vehicle. The incident was documented for insurance purposes.

Deputies in Friday Harbor responded to a report of an animal bite. Two parties were contacted, an animal bite form was completed, and an informational report was generated.

Orcas Island Deputies and Orcas Island EMS were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle collision in Eastsound. The driver sustained minor injuries. The incident was documented and the driver was given a courtesy ride home.

Orcas Island Deputies and Orcas Island EMS responded to a trauma call at an Orcas Island residence indicating a stabbing. The Deputies arrived first and had to force entry. Upon investigation it was determined that the subject had not been stabbed but had perhaps had a vivid dream.

A Lopez resident reported the theft of a package from their mailbox.

Orcas Deputies responded to a traffic hazard call-a deer had been struck by a vehicle. There was moderate damage to the vehicle and the deer was able to walk away.

25-007883 Mental Health 08:02:59 11/14/25
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a mental health crisis. The male went to the hospital voluntarily, but then left, and returned on his own. While in the lobby, the male went for the Deputy’s firearm and hit the Deputy. The male was detained and held on a mental health hold, danger to others.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal sick incident near the Rosario area. The Deputy euthanized an injured deer and the incident was documented.

25-007889 Accident-HitRun 10:30:34 11/14/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an accident hit and run. The reporting party did not know when and where their vehicle was damaged. The Deputy authored a report for the complainant’s insurance company.

Orcas Deputies responded to a welfare check at a local bar. The subject was contacted and the Deputies determined that the subject did not need further assistance. A report was made.

A Lopez resident reported suspicious activity at their residence.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a motor vehicle collision on Crow Valley Rd. The Deputy learned that the driver hydroplaned the vehicle resulting in the vehicle driving off the road. The driver was not injured, and the incident was documented.

25-007927 Accident-NonInj 09:18:30 11/16/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a vehicle hit and run incident near the public access to North Beach. The Deputy identified the vehicle and driver at fault. The at fault driver was subsequently arrested for hit and run and issued an infraction for operating a vehicle without insurance.

Deputies on Orcas Island were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. A male subject was taken into protective custody.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned an Adult Protective Services (APS) referral. The incident was investigated. The Deputy was unable to determine whether a crime had been committed or not.
