A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a 911 hang up call. The call was inadvertently “pocket dialed” while stacking firewood.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Failure to Redeem on an impounded Vehicle. A report was taken and an infraction was issued
to the Registered Owner of the vehicle.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic in Friday Harbor. The Deputies arrested the suspect for assault 2nd degree and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

A Lopez resident reported damage to a community library stand. This damage likely occurred due to human rights sign posted on the stand.

Orcas Island Deputies responded to a vehicle that went off the road overnight and into the complainant’s fenced garden. The vehicle owner arrived and took responsibility for the damage and vehicle removal.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a welfare check. The Deputy contacted the individuals, who were not in need of assistance.

A Deputy on San Juan took a report of a theft. No suspects or workable leads at this time. The incident was documented.

Deputies responded to a Lopez Island residence on 11/14/20 to investigate the cause of a teenager’s injury. It was determined that the teenager accidentally injured himself after he got angry when a parent told him to do a chore. EMS responded. There was no evidence of a crime and a report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to assist Orcas Fire and Rescue personnel with a trauma patient.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Trouble Unknown in the San Juan Island area. Deputies arrived and contacted the people involved in the incident. There was no evidence a crime had been committed but one person was transported to ER for treatment. A report was taken.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Fraud in the Friday Harbor area. The person advised that several credit cards had been opened in their name by a person from a previous relationship. The person provided a statement and a report was taken. Investigation continues.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft which occurred out of state. The Deputy took an informational report for insurance purposes.
20-009794 Attempted Suicide 16:30:38 11/17/20
Deputies responded to a suicidal subject. Further investigation revealed there was a reasonable belief the subject was a danger to herself or others. She was transported to Friday Harbor and admitted to Peace Island Hospital.
