19-003699 Animal Noise 12:13:27 05/22/19
An Orcas Deputy responded to an animal noise complaint near Eastsound. A report was taken.
19-003703 Juvenile Problem 15:53:05 05/22/19
A Deputy responded to a Juvenile Problem call in Friday Harbor. The Deputy met with the reporting parties and an investigation initiated. Probable Cause statement completed, referred to the PA’s Office and Juvenile Court Services, and a report made.
19-003705 Burglary – Residential 17:00:43 05/22/19
A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a residential burglary complaint. It was determined that an unidentified person(s)entered the home while the owner was away and stole several items. An investigation was conducted and a report was completed.
19-003707 Escape from Custody 17:38:11 05/22/19
San Juan County Deputies were advised that a defendant did not turn themselves in as ordered by the court. The defendant was charged with bail jumping.
19-003708 Citizen Assist 18:18:55 05/22/19
A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a citizen assist. The homeowner was suspicious of a boat that was in a bay near her property. The Deputy investigated and found no obvious evidence of a crime and a report was completed.

19-003715 Animal at Large 10:00:00 05/23/19
Lopez Deputies were dispatched to two lost dogs located in Lopez Village. The Deputies took possession of the dogs and were able to contact the owners a short time later. The owners arrived at the Lopez station to retrieve their dogs.
19-003719 Theft 10:52:32 05/23/19
A Deputy responded to a report of a theft at a Friday Harbor business. A report made, probable cause statement forwarded to the PA office, and one person was trespassed from the business.
19-003722 Wanted Person 12:27:19 05/23/19
A Lopez Deputy contacted an individual with a warrant for their arrest. The individual was arrested and transported to Friday Harbor for booking.
19-003726 Theft 16:11:15 05/23/19
A Deputy responded to a theft of a Smart Phone in Eastsound. The reporting victim claimed to have left the phone for approximately 10 min, when it had disappeared. The case is under further investigation.
19-003729 Trespassing 16:38:08 05/23/19
A subject was located and arrested for trespassing in the first degree after entering a business which they had previously been trespassed from.
19-003733 Wanted Person 18:07:12 05/23/19
A Deputy saw a subject known to have a warrant in the rear passenger seat of a vehicle. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop, contacted the wanted subject and arrested the subject. The driver of the vehicle was found to have no valid operator’s license. An infraction was issued to the driver.

Lopez Deputies were called to mediate a citizen dispute between neighbors. The Deputies spoke to the involved parties to find a resolution.

Lopez Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of two aggressive dogs that were loose on the beach. Deputies arrived but were unable to locate the dogs or their owners. The investigation is ongoing.
19-003744 Assault – Body Force 09:21:12 05/24/19
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of an assault. The involved parties were contacted. There were no injuries and the victim did not wish for any further law enforcement action to be taken.
19-003765 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:18:32 05/24/19
A Deputy took a report of a domestic violence incident. The suspect was located and arrested for assault 4th degree DV.
19-003766 Theft 19:32:35 05/24/19
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft. The incident was investigated and was unfounded. Report taken.
19-003776 Traffic Stop 23:19:18 05/24/19
A Deputy conducted a late night traffic stop in Eastsound for expired tabs and a modified exhaust. Further investigation revealed probable cause to believe the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested, processed and then released without further incident.

RP reported their boat ran over a mooring buoy off West Beach Resort. She said they were unable to determine who owns the buoy. She said the boat owner is willing to pay to replace it. She said she left her information at West Beach Resort. They cleaned up the remains of the buoy before leaving in the boat. I

A wanted person turned themselves in on Orcas. They posted bail and were given their court date to appear.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a commercial burglar alarm at a business in Lopez Village during the night. The building and grounds were checked and appeared secure. No further action was taken.
19-003809 Domestic Dispute or Assault 04:57:27 05/26/19
Lopez Island Deputies arrested a man for DUI after being called to a disturbance caused by efforts to remove a vehicle from the ditch. The man was processed and released on a DUI charge and the vehicle was impounded.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to a report of a hit and run collision that occurred overnight. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

Four vessels in West Sound were tagged for notification of illegal anchoring and use of the county dock.

A Deputy on Orcas Island took custody of a dog that had been running at large. The dog had no identification and was delivered to the animal shelter.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to provide information to all parties involved in an ongoing landlord-tenant dispute. The matter is civil in nature at this point, no further action taken by the Deputy.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Drowning in the San Juan Island area. The involved person was pulled from the water unharmed and transported to the hospital. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to pick up a stray dog from a resident after the dog appeared on their doorstep last night. The dog owner was identified and contacted by LAPS and the dog was reunited with its owner. No enforcement action was taken.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor arrested a male for Trespassing and was
later released with a citation.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to the ferry landing regarding a parking issue in the upper lot. Ferry terminal staff will follow up with the vehicle owners. No enforcement action was taken.

A Deputy responded to a report of a welfare check in Friday Harbor. The Deputy spoke with the concerned party, a report was made, and the report forwarded to Adult Protective Services. No further investigation at this time.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a disabled vehicle, partially blocking the roadway. The owner was making arrangements to have the vehicle removed as soon as possible after it had broken down. No further action was necessary.

A Deputy assisted a Lopez resident. The resident was concerned that a person was coming to his home at night unannounced. The Deputy spoke with the offender, who was trying to complete a business transaction, and he agreed to call the home owner before going to his house in the future.

A Deputy was on routine patrol and saw a male suspect known to have a warrant. The suspect was arrested, booked and transported to Friday Harbor via patrol boat where he was booked into the San Juan County Jail.
