19-003104 Fraud 09:56:57 05/01/19

A Lopez Island resident reported receiving a scam telephone call from a subject representing that the callers’ grandson was in jail and needed bail money immediately. As the scam was immediately recognized, no money or personal information was lost.

19-003106 Accident-Injury, Traffic 11:57:59 05/01/19
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Fisherman Bay Rd. A vehicle went into the ditch attempting to turn around on private property. There was no damage, but needed a tow to extract it from the ditch.

19-003110 Found Property 13:33:36 05/01/19
A citizen brought in a piece of property that he had obtained that did not belong to him. He did not want the item, so it was booked into evidence to be destroyed.

19-003119 Parking Problem 19:33:16 05/01/19
A San Juan Deputy noticed an abandoned vehicle blocking part of the roadway. The vehicle was towed.

19-003130 Threats 08:21:32 05/02/19

An Orcas Deputy responded to a threats call near Eastsound. After all parties were interviewed it was found to be a civil matter. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a lost property call near Eastsound. A report was taken.

19-003140 Animal at Large 13:28:00 05/02/19
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a dog at large complaint in the 3000 block of Mud Bay Road. The dog was gone when the Deputy arrived. The dog owner and dog were subsequently identified. It was learned a person unfamiliar with the dog let it out while the owner was gone. A report was completed.

19-003149 Accident-Injury, Traffic 19:18:38 05/02/19
San Juan Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for DUI and Vehicular Assault and infractions for Driving With Wheels Off Roadway and Speed Too Fast for Conditions.

19-003151 Traffic Stop 22:57:42 05/02/19
A Deputy made a late night traffic stop for a vehicle with a headlight out. Further investigation revealed the driver failed to transfer his title within 45 days. An arrest was made. After a consensual search, suspected drugs were found. The driver was booked into San Juan County Jail.

19-003157 Domestic Dispute or Assault 08:29:35 05/03/19

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of Domestic Violence in Friday Harbor. The suspect was arrested for Assault 4th Degree/DV.

19-003158 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:14:40 05/03/19
A Deputy received a report of a person who was causing problems in the 300 block of Carter Ave. The person was trespassed from the business.

19-003163 Citizen Assist 15:15:33 05/03/19
A Lopez Island resident reported that another resident was illegally operating a commercial vehicle on the road without the appropriate license. The investigation revealed the vehicle operator was properly licensed and that no violation of law had occurred. A report was completed.

19-003173 Burglary – Residential 00:40:28 05/04/19

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a burglary complaint. Although nothing was missing from the unoccupied home, the unidentified perpetrator damaged the home while making entry. An investigation was conducted and a report was completed.

19-003191 Traffic Violation 15:02:59 05/04/19
A Deputy responded to a reported traffic offense on Shaw Island that escalated. The investigation revealed probable cause to arrest him for the offenses of assault 3, hit and run on a pedestrian, reckless driving and malicious mischief 3rd degree. The juvenile was sent to a detention center.

19-003192 Civil Problem 15:33:28 05/04/19
A Lopez Deputy responded to a disturbance between two people regarding a monetary issue. Both were referred to civil court as an appropriate way to settle the issue.

19-003209 Accident-Injury, Traffic 10:10:57 05/05/19

Orcas Island Sheriff’s and EMS personnel responded to a report of a collision with entrapment. The incident involved 3 vehicles and their owners. None of the involved parties were injured. One vehicle was removed by a local towing company and the other two were driven from the scene.

19-003212 Theft 13:21:32 05/05/19
A Deputy dispatched to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy contacted the involved persons. The incident appears civil in nature at this time. Report taken.

19-003214 Court Order Violation 15:23:19 05/05/19
A Deputy observed a possible order violation by a local man out on release conditions with a GPS ankle monitor. A report was made and investigation is ongoing.19-003220 Animal at Large 17:30:54 05/05/19
A Lopez resident was issued a dog at large warning letter after neighbors complained of aggressive behavior from the animal.

19-003226 DUI 19:32:36 05/05/19

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Terrill Beach Road. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI and driving while license Suspended 3rd degree. He was issued multiple infractions and the vehicle was impounded.

19-003232 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:57:58 05/06/19
Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. The investigation revealed no crimes had been committed and one party was given a ride home.

19-003255 Harassment 14:59:15 05/06/19
Deputies responded to an Eastsound Business on a report of a harassment complaint. Further investigation lead to the arrest of a local man for the crimes of stalking and criminal trespass. The suspect was booked into the San Juan County Jail.

19-003272 Unwanted Person 11:45:55 05/07/19

Deputies were dispatched to an Unwanted Person in Friday Harbor. The subject left without further incident and was asked not return.

19-003279 Boating Acc NI 18:39:28 05/07/19
A Deputy was made aware of a boating accident non injury that had occurred on 04/29/19 in San Juan County waters. A Boating Accident Report was completed by the Owner/Operator. No further investigation required.

19-003282 Missing Person 19:47:17 05/07/19
A Lopez Island Deputy and Lopez Fire and EMS responded to a missing child complaint. The two year old child was subsequently located unharmed by family members. It was determined the child wandered off while following the family pet.
