16-001255 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:48:12 03/09/16
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a domestic. The investigation showed that it was just a verbal argument when one of the persons involved went to get some of their property from the residence.

A Lopez deputy responded to a report of a vandalized mailbox. The mailbox appeared to have been damaged by an explosive device. Investigation is ongoing.

16-001258 Arson 12:48:25 03/09/16
A Deputy responded to the area of Kings Point Road, Lopez Island for a
potential arson complaint. A passerby reported seeing a mailbox on fire. Due to
suspicious circumstances and safety concerns, a Bomb Disposal unit responded to
investigate. No explosive device was found. The investigation continues.

A homeowner found a white sedan backed into his gate and the gate was damaged.
The vehicle was abandoned and the owner of the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

A deputy responded to a report of illegal dumping of trash at a local resort. Upon completion of the investigation the suspect was contacted and issued a criminal citation with a court date.

An Eastsound resident reported raingear that was left outside was taken from the Orcas Yacht Club by an unknown person.

Friday Harbor resident received a fraudulent computer related phone contact and then experienced Internet problems. Information given by the caller was fraudulent and they cannot be traced. No further.

On March 11, 2016, a Lopez deputy took a report of a mailbox partially damaged by a fireworks device. Investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Friday Harbor. The Female suspect had fled the scene prior to deputies arriving.

16-001304 Traffic Hazard 07:31:01 03/12/16
Deputies were dispatched to a truck in the ditch, partially blocking the road. Tow was called and the truck removed.

16-001306 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 09:24:12 03/12/16
Deputy responded to an Olga address in regards to illegal dumping on someone’s property. A report was taken.

16-001309 Theft 11:41:39 03/12/16
A non-resident boater came to check on his boat at the Port of Friday Harbor. He
found his Boston Whaler Dinghy had been taken between Dec. ’15 and March ’16. No
suspects or evidence at this time. Owner will e-mail further information on
dinghy. Investigation continues.

16-001316 Citizen Dispute 17:58:41 03/12/16
Deputies were dispatched to contact a subject who stated he was involved in a verbal altercation with a known person to him at an establishment in Eastsound. Deputies contacted both parties and determined a crime did not occur. A report was completed for documentation purposes.

Orcas deputies and OIFR were dispatched to Decatur Island by boat on a medical emergency. Upon arrival the victim was found to be deceased of natural causes.

16-001323 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:07:55 03/13/16
A complainant came into the Sheriff’s Office to report a verbal argument they got into with a bus driver the evening before. It was verbal only. No further.

16-001329 Threats 15:07:24 03/13/16
A Lopez deputy investigated a report of threats. No probable cause for a crime.

16-001336 Traffic Hazard 17:16:56 03/13/16
A Lopez Island deputy was dispatched to a large tree that had fallen across Mackaye Harbor Rd entirely blocking the roadway. A Public Works crew also responded and removed the tree.

16-001340 Traffic Hazard 19:21:46 03/13/16
A Lopez Island deputy responded to a tree down, blocking a portion of Shark Reef Rd. The tree was cleared from the roadway, eliminating the hazard. No further action necessary

16-001343 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:42:54 03/13/16
Deputies responded to a verbal domestic in Friday Harbor. One of the parties involved threatened to harm themselves and I transported the person to the ER to be evaluated by a mental health professional. All the parties involved were compliant.

A Lopez Island deputy responded to a commercial burglar alarm at a business in Lopez Village. The building was found secure. No evidence of any attempt at forced entry was found. No further action necessary.

An Orcas resident called to report that someone had backed into his front bumper at an unknown time or location.

16-001351 Fraud 10:21:36 03/14/16
A Lopez deputy received a report of a fraudulent purchase on a debit card. An unknown subject made a purchase that was delivered out of state. The complainant canceled the card.

16-001350 Court Order Violation 10:22:05 03/14/16
A Friday Harbor crime victim reported the suspect had contacted him on Facebook
and provided screen captures of the communication. Information was forwarded to
the Prosecutor for charging and the suspect was contacted and advised to stop.

16-001353 Burglary – Residential 11:58:50 03/14/16
Lopez deputies were dispatched to a report of a possible burglary reported remotely by a homeowner with a security camera. Deputies determined no entry was made, but there was slight damage to the exterior. Investigation continues.

16-001360 Attempted Suicide 19:36:49 03/14/16
A Lopez Island deputy assisted by Lopez Island EMS responded to a
reportedly suicidal subject. It was determined that the subject made a suicidal
statement out of sheer frustration to another party who in turn called 911. No
actual threat of harm was evident in contact with the subject.

On 03/15/16 the reporting deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan
area. The reporting deputy arrived and interviewed the involved parties. The
incident was verbal only.

16-001372 Fall 13:12:16 03/15/16
Deputies responded to the fire station in Eastsound and learned that a patient had deceased after over an hour of administering CPR. A standard unattended death investigation was conducted and determined the patient died of natural causes.

16-001376 Abandoned Vehicle 16:25:16 03/15/16
On 03-16-2016, I responded to the 300 block of Grover Street reference an
abandoned vehicle. Contact was made with the vehicle owner and he made
arrangements to move the vehicle.

16-001378 Theft 18:35:56 03/15/16
Mar 15, a Lopez Island deputy responded to a reported theft. Investigation
revealed that as a couple was parting ways, ownership of some items were in
dispute. The matter was civil in nature, and if it can’t be worked out between
them they needed to go to court to resolve those differences.

16-001380 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:03:09 03/15/16
On 03/15/16 at 2135 hours a male subject was arrested for DV Malicious Mischief.
This incident occurred in Friday Harbor, WA.
