A Deputy responded to a traffic offense call in Friday Harbor involving a car passing a stopped school bus. The driver of the car was identified and issued an infraction. Report made.
18-001520 Trespassing 10:41:45 03/07/18
A Deputy responded to a trespassing complaint in Friday Harbor. The Deputy met with the caller, completed a Trespass Warning Letter, and the letter will be served to the individual when located. A report was completed.
18-001524 Malicious Mischief 13:01:16 03/07/18
A Deputy responded to a Vandalism call in Friday Harbor. The Deputy was advised by the caller that he only wanted an information report made and wanted to trespass the individual involved from his property. Trespass letter served and report made.

A San Juan Island resident reported being threatened by another San Juan Island Resident. Investigation continues.
18-001535 Accident-NonInj 23:27:07 03/07/18
A Deputy investigated a possible non-injury vehicle accident on Channel Road. The unoccupied vehicle was partially in a ditch. No probable cause for a crime was established. The vehicle owner, who was not on scene, was located and agreed to have the vehicle removed as soon as possible.

A Deputy responded to a delayed report of a burglary of a business in Friday Harbor. Upon investigation, it was found that there was no signs of forced entry and possibly an inside incident. There is no evidence, no video footage, no witnesses, and no workable leads to investigate at this time.

A Deputy responded to a Citizen Assist call in the Roche harbor area. The Deputy met the individuals involved in person and via phone, gathered the information from the parties involved, and completed an information report.
18-001542 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 12:37:15 03/08/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person in Friday Harbor. The Deputy temporarily detained the male involved, issued him a trespass warning letter, and released the male. Information report completed.

A Lopez Deputy arrested a local man for an outstanding felony warrant. The man was booked into jail.

An Orcas Island Deputy was assigned a burglary investigation involving items stolen from a residence on Stuart Island. The investigation continues.

18-001551 Domestic Dispute or Assault 02:20:03 03/09/18
Lopez deputies responded to a domestic violence assault. Ferry dock staff saw the suspect at the dock several hours later. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail for assault and an outstanding Department of Corrections felony warrant.

An Orcas Deputy investigated a burglary involving several storage units in Eastsound. Investigation continues.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence when a man was found dead in his home by family members. Investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Suspicious Circumstance in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and investigated the incident. Report completed.

Deputies were dispatched to a potentially suicidal subject. They were contacted and transported to the Peace Health ER for evaluation.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a death investigation. The death appeared to be of natural causes.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a person who was having suicidal thoughts. The person was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Deputy was dispatched to location for unwanted person. Deputy arrived and contacted employees. Employees advised subject was making them uncomfortable. Subject had been asked earlier to leave the business but had returned. Subject contacted and id. Subject advised he was homeless.
18-001600 Trespassing 12:44:30 03/11/18
A man was found trespassing on a private beach on Lopez Island. When asked to leave by the property owner, he refused telling the owner to call the sheriff. The trespasser was gone before the Deputy arrived.

A Lopez Island man flagged down a Deputy to report an unattended burn pile at a residence. The Deputy found no one home and an unattended, unpermitted fire burning in the yard and called the fire department to respond to extinguish the fire.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of unwanted handmade sign posted on an Eastsound business. The sign was removed by the Deputy. A report was taken.
18-001644 Wanted Person 10:48:51 03/13/18
A Deputy arrested a wanted subject on a warrant for failing to show up to testify in court. Further investigation revealed probable cause of witness tampering. The case is under further investigation.
18-001645 Found Property 14:52:55 03/13/18
A Lopez Island Deputy received a cell phone that was found at the ferry terminal. The owner of the phone was identified and the phone was returned.
18-001649 Wanted Person 17:02:49 03/13/18
A Friday Harbor Deputy arrested a Friday Harbor man on an outstanding warrant. The male was transported and booked into jail. Report made.
