A Deputy responded to a report of a Theft in Friday Harbor. Upon arrival the Deputy found the suspect to be GOA. The Deputy gathered the needed information and a report was made. Investigation ongoing.

An Orcas island resident reported being harassed by another citizen. A report was taken.

19-001641 Accident-Injury, Traffic 21:22:28 03/06/19
A Deputy responded to a one car non injury accident on San Juan Island. It was determined that the car hit a patch of black ice and slid off the road onto its side. The driver suffered no injuries and a collision report was made. No further investigation.

Deputies responded to an unwanted person call on San Juan Island. A female subject was trespassed from the location and a report made. No further investigation.

Orcas Island Deputies investigated a fraud complaint. The suspect told the complainant she was due a refund. She gave him access to her bank account. He made it look like he put too much money in, claiming that was a mistake. He asked the complainant to send back the difference in gift cards.

A small baggie of apprOximately one gram of white substance was found and logged into the property room for destruction.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a hit and run complaint. The damage was minimal and the victim did not wish to pursue charges.

19-001651 Fraud 14:53:49 03/07/19
A Lopez resident reported Medicare fraud. A report was completed and other resources were offered to take care of the issue.

19-001656 Wanted Person 20:38:02 03/07/19
A Deputy contacted a Wanted Person in Friday Harbor and they were arrested and later bailed out.

Deputies and Fire Department personnel on Orcas Island responded to a two vehicle non-injury collision. One driver was issued a Notice of Infraction for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn, and no valid operator’s license with valid identification.

19-001677 Wanted Person 15:30:11 03/08/19
A Deputy located a known Wanted Person on Orcas Island. The suspect had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Skagit County. The suspect was arrested without incident, transported to Friday Harbor and booked into the San Juan County Jail.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a burglary. The suspect was located on-site, and was arrested and booked into jail.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding a dog running at large in Lopez Village. The dog was located, but would not let anyone get close to it. The probable owner was identified and contacted.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to a citizen dispute over beach access. A homeowner challenged people walking the beach who had ignored a county parks sign at Otis Perkins Park that says beach and tidelands to the south beyond the sign are private property.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Accident in the San Juan Island area. The reporting Deputy arrived and located a single vehicle off the roadway into a tree. Report taken.

19-001724 Area Check 22:22:08 03/09/19
A Deputy on Orcas Island removed an animal carcass from the roadway at Orcas Road and Deer Harbor Road.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving while license suspended in the third degree and possession of a controlled substance.

A Lopez Island Deputy caught a dog running at large in Lopez Village. The owner was identified, and the dog returned home with a warning letter.

A Deputy on San Juan took a report of a Juvenile in possession of marijuana. The juvenile was issued a criminal citation for marijuana possession under 21 years of age.

19-001774 Assault – Body Force 15:53:53 03/11/19
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a reported assault. The victim was contacted and a report was taken. The victim did not wish to pursue charges at that time.

19-001776 Noise Complaint /not dogs 16:35:13 03/11/19
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a noise complaint of a vehicle alarm. The vehicle was located and found the engine to still be running. The registered owner was contacted and issued an infraction for unattended vehicle.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched with Orcas Fire and EMS to a single vehicle rollover accident with a subject still in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for reckless driving and vehicular assault.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a runaway juvenile call in the Eastsound area. The young man was later located and returned home safely. A report was taken.
