16-001737 Burglary – Residential 09:30:56 03/30/16
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a burglary. A shed had been entered and it did not appear that anything was missing from the shed. Currently there are no suspects.
16-001750 Domestic Dispute or Assault 17:06:25 03/30/16
Deputies were dispatched to a verbal domestic in Friday Harbor. Both parties were separated on the property and advised to stay away from each other for the evening. Settled by Contact.
16-001754 Unwanted Person 18:34:46 03/30/16
A Lopez Island property owner called for assistance in removing an aggressive man from his property. The subject left when requested to do so by a deputy. No further action necessary.
16-001758 Attempted Suicide 20:35:30 03/30/16
Deputies were dispatched to an Eastsound address reference a possible suicide attempt. When Deputies arrived and conducted their preliminary investigation, it was determined the subject wasn’t suicidal. No further action was required.
16-001760 Hazardous Materials Spill 21:37:28 03/30/16
A Lopez Island deputy investigated a single vehicle crash on Fisherman Bay Rd. The crash occurred on private property, and the only damage was sustained by the involved vehicle. A report was taken.
16-001762 Medical Emergency 23:58:22 03/30/16
A deputy was dispatched to a location in Eastsound reference a suicidal subject. It was determined the subject was not in immediate harm and was released. No further action required.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a DUI in ferry line parking Lot B. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI and was booked into the San Juan County Jail.
16-001775 Citizen Dispute 14:22:37 03/31/16
A Deputy was dispatched to a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor. The deputy assisted the reporting party in retrieving her items from her ex-parTner. No further.
16-001776 Accident-Injury, Traffic 15:42:39 03/31/16
Deputies responded to the 1900 block of Roche Harbor Road reference a Moped collision. Driver received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. I completed a Police Traffic collision Report.
16-001777 Fraud 16:47:17 03/31/16
Deputy responded to a civil dispute in the parking lot of the County Court House in Friday Harbor.
16-001780 Information Report 18:34:36 03/31/16
A Friday Harbor resident came in to report threatening text messages. The person only wanted this documented in case of further problems. Information report filed.
16-001788 Child Abuse or Neglect 21:25:53 03/31/16
An Orcas Deputy received an anonymous report about a possible child abuse/neglect case involving several young children. Child Protective Services was given the mandatory referral. A report was written.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a suspicious circumstance. It was reported that a female that was driving around may be having a medical problem.
16-001797 Fraud 11:50:46 04/01/16
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of an identity theft. The victims credit card was used for a cash withdrawal at a Western Union. This case is still under investigation.
16-001801 Theft 16:34:34 04/01/16
A SJC Sheriff Deputy responded to a reported commercial burglary in Eastsound. Several art supplies were reported to be missing from a storage unit. The case is under further investigation.
16-001806 Citizen Assist 17:56:32 04/01/16
San Juan deputies were dispatched to a trespass complaint. The person refused to leave and was also found to be in violation of ‘no alcohol’ orders from the court from that afternoon. Subject was taken back into custody.
16-001811 Traffic Stop 19:05:58 04/01/16
Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 1600 block of Beaverton Valley Road. A driver’s record check showed the defendant’s driver’s license was suspended in the third degree for unpaid ticket. Driver was issued an infraction for speeding and a criminal citation

A Friday Harbor resident reported vandalism to a locked gate on his property.
His lock had been cut off and replaced with another lock, which he will have to
cut off and replace. He has no suspects at this time.
16-001822 Weapons Offense 16:13:45 04/02/16
On April 2, 2016 a Lopez Island deputy investigated a noise complaint regarding
gunshots in the gravel pit at Lopez Sand and Gravel. When the deputy arrived,
the sole shooter in the pit was leaving. No further action necessary.
16-001827 Traffic Stop 18:44:10 04/02/16
Deputy stopped the defendant for failing to wear safety belt in the 700 block of Mullis Road. Defendant was issued an infraction for failing to wear safety belt. He had been previously warned for failing to wear safety belt and cell phone use while driving on 03-27-2015.
16-001830 DUI 20:13:21 04/02/16
SJC Sheriff Deputies responded to a Doe Bay address. Further investigation revealed probable cause that the suspect had assaulted someone. The subject was located and issued with a criminal citation and a promise to appear in court.
16-001836 Disorderly Conduct 22:01:21 04/02/16
Deputies were dispatched to the Mt. Lakes campground reference a subject creating a disturbance and disorderly conduct. When Deputies arrived they attempted to contact the subject, however, were unable to. No further action was taken or required.
16-001837 Traffic Stop 22:21:39 04/02/16
Deputy stopped the defendant for driving with all the rear lights off in the 200 block of Tucker Avenue. Subsequent investigation showed the defendant’s driver’s license was suspended. The driver was was issued a criminal citation for DWLS 3rd Degree.
16-001838 Medical Emergency 23:13:30 04/02/16
Deputies responded to a Deer Harbor address regarding an unknown medical problem. Prescription drugs were mentioned to be an issue and firearms were said to be present in the home. Deputies insured the home was safe before Orcas EMS evaluated the patient. No further action was required.

16-001840 Domestic Dispute or Assault 03:39:30 04/03/16
A deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The deputy arrived and contacted the victim. The victim advised that the argument was verbal only and that the other involved party had left the residence. The deputy cleared the incident as verbal only.
16-001847 Traffic Enforcement 16:25:36 04/03/16
A Lopez Island deputy came upon a pickup towing a boat trailer blocking a roadway, after the driver made a wrong turn and was unable to turn around. A nearby property owner allowed the vehicle to cross his property clearing the road and freeing the vehicle.

While patrolling the Eastsound area Deputies observed a subject who was consuming an alcoholic beverage in a public area. Deputies contacted subject and cited the subject. No further action was required.
16-001866 Burglary – Residential 17:14:45 04/04/16
A Lopez deputy took a report of a wallet missing from a residence. Investigation continues.
16-001871 Domestic Dispute or Assault 19:18:10 04/04/16
Deputies were dispatched to an Eastsound address reference a domestic violence incident. When Deputies arrived it was determined an assault occurred. A report is being submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review. No further action required.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report that a person passed a counterfeit bill at a store. This case is still under investigation.
16-001877 Theft 10:43:24 04/05/16
Deputies were dispatched to an address in Eastsound reference a theft. After conducting a preliminary investigation it was determined a theft to mail occurred, however, were unable to determine who was responsible at this time. No other action taken.
16-001883 Animal Bite 14:32:33 04/05/16
A Lopez Island delivery driver reported being bitten by a dog after dropping a package at a south end residence. The victim sought medical care for the injury. The dog owner was contacted by a deputy for verification of current shots on the dog. A report was taken.
16-001886 Civil Problem 16:01:25 04/05/16
Civil matter of neighbor not wanting the other neighbor to use shared driveway. Neighbor has dug trenches, laid timbers, wood and limbs to block usage. Resident referred to civil attorney.
16-001888 Citizen Assist 18:58:56 04/05/16
A Lopez Island deputy was called to assist a resident in removing a hummingbird from inside the house. The hummingbird had flown up into a skylight and was unable to find its way out. The bird was successfully removed from the house and happily flew away.
