22-001757 Wanted Person 09:59:40 03/23/22
Deputies on San Juan Island attempted to contact a person with a warrant. The person did not answer their door or acknowledge the Deputies. Deputies will continue to attempt to locate and contact the subject.

22-001759 Aircraft Problem 15:24:23 03/23/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a call of a downed aircraft near the intersection of Mt. Baker Rd. and Lovers Lane. An incident report was authored.

22-001763 Fraud 16:52:11 03/23/22
A San Juan Deputy received a report of fraud. The incident occurred out-of-state; the Deputy obtained information and forwarded it to the involved agency.

22-001764 Burglary – Residential 18:18:05 03/23/22
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a residential burglary in the Eastsound area. The investigation is ongoing. A report was taken.

22-001765 Accident-NonInj 18:21:31 03/23/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and was issued an infraction for driving with wheels off roadway.

22-001767 Court Order Violation 20:28:49 03/23/22
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a violation of a court order. The reporting party advised that a person sent a communication request via social media to a protected person in the order. The violation was referred to the Prosecutor for charging.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a theft report. The incident was documented as there are no workable leads or suspects at this time.

22-001775 Found Property 14:19:43 03/24/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report for found property. The item was entered into the evidence system lost and found.

22-001784 Fraud 19:41:30 03/24/22
An Orcas Island Deputy conducted a fraud investigation with a suspect who called a local resident and identified himself as Sergeant Marshall from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The fraudster attempted to obtain money from the resident but was not successful.

22-001792 Fraud 10:20:16 03/25/22
A Deputy responded to a report of an attempted Fraud via a phone scam. The caller stated the person on the phone represented themselves as Sgt. Timothy Marshall with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The caller did not give out any personal or bank information and incurred no loss. Report made.

A Deputy responded to a report of an attempted Fraud. The caller reported a phone scam of a male identifying himself as Sgt. Timothy Marshall with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. The caller did not reveal any personal or bank information. No loss incurred and a report completed.

A Deputy responded to a 4th report of an attempted phone scam Fraud in which the suspect identified themselves as Sgt. Timothy Marshal with the SJCSO. The caller gave no personal or bank information and incurred no loss. No workable leads to located the source of the call and a report completed.

22-001798 Threats 13:00:43 03/25/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of threats in Friday Harbor. A transient male approached a citizen and shouted that he would kill him and that he was Satan. He also shouted the same thing at a nearby fence before leaving. He was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a fraud report. A suspect from out of the county made a counterfeit payroll check from a local business. The investigation is on going.

22-001800 Fraud 13:29:46 03/25/22
A Deputy responded to a 5th report of an attempted Fraud involving a phone scam of someone alleging to be with the SJCSO. The caller gave no banking or personal information, incurred no loss, and a report was completed. This time it appears the caller has “spoofed” the SJCSO # 360-378-4151.

22-001803 Found Property 14:34:22 03/25/22
A Deputy responded to a walk-in report of found property. A small black & red bag containing letter and notes was found in Friday Harbor. Several calls were made in attempt to contact the owner but the owner could not be reached. Property entered into the property room per policy. Report made.

A Lopez Deputy served a protection order and collected property as directed by a court order.

22-001825 Theft 11:20:00 03/26/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a walk-in report of artwork theft. There is no viable suspect information or workable leads at this time. A report was completed.

22-001837 Burglary,NonRes 04:25:17 03/27/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a commercial burglary. An investigation commenced and is ongoing.

22-001838 Theft 07:49:21 03/27/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island was advised by dispatch that a citizen came in and dropped off a statement. The statement was regarding a theft at a local business but had not been reported prior. The Deputy attempted contact with the reporting party but had not heard back.

22-001839 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:02:39 03/27/22
Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. The incident was documented with a report. Both parties agreed to maintain separation while tensions calmed.

A Lopez Deputy collected found property from a Lopez resident.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted a commercial burglary investigation at Tidepool Coffeehouse. A report was authored.

A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Fraud. The person reported that there was unauthorized use of their credit card. The person provided a statement and documents for the
incident. Report taken.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of threats. The involved parties were separated upon arrival and neither party wanted future contact with the other. It was determined that there was no law enforcement action to be taken.

MONDAY, MARCH 28
22-001855 Theft 08:43:16 03/28/22
A Deputy on Orcas took a report of possible mail theft near the ferry landing. There are no suspects at this time, and a report was taken.

A Lopez resident reported an incident of fraud related to a phishing e-mail.

22-001859 Citizen Assist 11:37:12 03/28/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a citizen assist call-back.

22-001860 Attempted Suicide 11:43:25 03/28/22
Deputies on Orcas responded to a possible suicide attempt near Eastsound. The person was transported to Peace Island Medical Center for continued help after they were cleared by EMS personnel.

22-001869 Fraud 15:25:01 03/28/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a forgery complaint. An investigation commenced and is ongoing.

TUESDAY, MARCH 29
22-001873 Death Investigation 07:30:12 03/29/22
A Deputy responded to a report of an elderly male who passed away at PIMC. Medical staff advised that the male passed away of natural causes and had been in the hospital, under doctor care for the past 8 days. The Coroner was notified & determined that no investigation was required. Report made.

22-001882 Accident-HitRun 15:44:06 03/29/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a vehicle that had went off the road, hit mailboxes and left the scene. The driver returned and offered to fix the mailboxes at their own expense. The driver was issued infractions for driving with wheels off roadway and no insurance.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an ongoing neighbor issue. A neighbor had tossed something into their yard, and it was caught on camera. The involved parties were contacted, and a report was completed.
