A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a dock that had gone missing. The reporting party believes it might be weather related. There is currently no suspect information or workable leads.

22-001618 Vicious Animal 11:08:01 03/16/22
An Orcas Deputy responded to a call of a dog at large in the Eastsound area. The dog owner was issued a warning letter. A report was written.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a missing wallet. There is currently no suspect information or workable leads

22-001640 Accident-HitRun 23:50:36 03/16/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a hit-and-run. The Deputy located the vehicle the next day, after several hours of searching. The owner
acknowledged that they were drinking but the victim did not want to pursue charges because they did not want to be “mean.” Informational report made.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to an accident with no injury near Eastsound. The owner of the vehicle had already contacted AAA and a report was taken.

22-001645 Found Property 11:31:27 03/17/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a found bicycle. The bike was entered into the evidence system as lost property.

22-001647 Vehicle Theft 13:52:12 03/17/22
A San Juan Deputy located a stolen vehicle out of Mount Vernon. Deputies determined the identity of the person in possession of the vehicle, who was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

22-001652 Trespassing 17:14:03 03/17/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a trespassing call. Upon investigation, a suspect was issued a trespass warning letter and arrested for boating under the influence.

22-001653 Accident-Injury, Traffic 19:05:49 03/17/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover collision. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and minor in
possession of alcohol.

22-001654 Unwanted Person 19:13:41 03/17/22
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The suspect was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

22-001655 Runaway Juvenile 22:39:35 03/17/22
Per 301, due to prior history and unknown address but mother stating daughter was at friend’s house, search was not conducted and I asked mother to call the Sheriff’s Office if daughter returned to school the next day.

FRIDAY, MARCH 18
22-001663 Accident-Injury, Traffic 13:22:25 03/18/22
Deputies and medics responded to a citizen dispute on Center Island. The reporting party was treated by medics and escorted to her home. At this time, there is no crime involved.

22-001666 Weapon Safekeeping 14:08:35 03/18/22
An Orcas Island Deputy booked several firearms into the Orcas Island substation for safekeeping.

22-001672 Theft 17:03:29 03/18/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. One person was served with a Trespassing Warning instead of being arrested for Shoplift by request of the business. Report taken.

22-001685 Trespassing 20:49:34 03/18/22
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The suspect was arrested and booked into the San Juan County Jail. For trespassing and violation of conditions of release.

22-001686 Parking Problem 21:28:02 03/18/22
A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with the registered owner of a vehicle regarding his vehicle which was creating a parking problem and potential hazard in the 3700 block of Mud Bay Rd. The registered owner agreed to make arrangements to have the vehicle removed to a safe location.

22-001694 Found Property 10:30:06 03/19/22
On 03/19/22 a Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a wallet that had been found near Earthbox. The deputy attempted to locate the owner but was unable to find the owner. The wallet was entered into evidence as found property.

SUNDAY, MARCH 20
22-001729 DUI 15:47:48 03/20/22
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic violence incident, where the suspect had left in their personal vehicle. Deputies contacted the suspect at their residence and was subsequently arrested for Assault in the fourth degree- domestic violence.

MONDAY, MARCH 21
22-001737 Burglary – Residential 13:55:32 03/21/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a burglary complaint. A report was taken. The investigation is ongoing.

TUESDAY, MARCH 22
22-001744 Agency Assistance 12:25:12 03/22/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of credit card fraud. The victim did sustain monetary loss and is in contact with their bank. There is no suspect information or workable leads at this time. A report was completed.

22-001746 Malicious Mischief 13:59:07 03/22/22
A Lopez Island Deputy was called to investigate vandalism to property. A report was taken.
