A Deputy took a report in Friday Harbor regarding a fraudulent filing of taxes. This matter is being handled by the IRS. No further.
16-003653 Traffic Stop 13:23:07 06/08/16
A Deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for stop sign failure to obey and warned for no insurance and fail to display proper license plate.

A Lopez Island deputy was called about an abandoned vehicle in Lopez Village. The owner was contacted and the vehicle was removed.

A deputy was dispatched to a found vessel in Friday Harbor. The vessel owner was located and will pick up the vessel. Case Closed.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a missing person. The person that was missing is believed possibly to be in Mason County. The person was entered into the system as a missing person.
16-003694 Burglary – Residential 18:37:57 06/09/16
Deputies discovered that a previously convicted burglar had returned to a victims home, broken in and removed an item and ‘returned’ it to a second victim, by breaking into her home. Deputies are watching for the suspect. Investigation continues.

A Lopez deputy was contacted regarding a possible case of fraud involving a vehicle purchase. The purchase occurred out of county and no direct evidence of fraud was uncovered.
16-003699 Disorderly Conduct 19:57:06 06/09/16
Orcas Deputies were dispatched to a Disorderly Conduct call on Orcas Rd. The Reporting party wanted to press criminal charges against the suspect. The suspect was still on scene and he was cited. A report was taken.
16-003705 Assault – Aggravated 22:24:28 06/09/16
A deputy responded to Peace Island Medical Center reference an alleged assault. Upon arrival I spoke with two subjects who reported being assaulted by three men over a conflict involving their dog. This incident reportedly occurred at South Beach on San Juan Island.

A Friday Harbor Resident reported his ex-girlfriend engaged him in a verbal argument.

A Deputy was dispatched to an unwanted person in Friday Harbor. The individual was contacted and instructed not to return or they would be arrested. No further.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft that had occurred in Friday Harbor. No known suspects at this time. Investigation Continues.
16-003726 Assault – Aggravated 18:58:36 06/10/16
Deputies were dispatched to a call about a driving complaint at a helicopter landing zone on Orcas Island. The call is under investigation.
16-003728 DUI 19:20:26 06/10/16
Deputies responded to the ferry Samish to investigate an intoxicated driver. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Sheriff’s Office.

An Orcas deputy was dispatched to a vehicle off the roadway. The vehicle was unoccupied and was towed.
16-003753 Accident-HitRun 17:36:43 06/11/16
The reporting deputy was dispatched to a Hit and Run that occurred in the San Juan Valley area. The reporting deputy made contact with the caller. Information and photos were taken. No suspect information at this time. Investigation continues.
16-003754 Harassment 18:27:35 06/11/16
A deputy was sent to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Harassment. The deputy contacted the caller. The caller complained that he was being harassed by a previous room mate while working on a job site. Caller was advised to get an Anti-harassment Order. Suspect was not located in the area.

A SJC Sheriff Deputy was dispatched to vehicle collision. Upon arrival, the driver of the rented vehicle was no longer there. The vehicle was badly damaged and was impounded. The vehicle was later reported as stolen.
16-003769 Domestic Dispute or Assault 04:17:06 06/12/16
The reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a possible domestic. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. No evidence that a Domestic had occurred was discovered during the investigation.
16-003771 Vehicle Theft 07:32:06 06/12/16
An Eastsound resident reported that his rental car had been stolen. The vehicle was found off the road and totaled. The investigation continues.
16-003778 Accident-Injury, Traffic 11:26:35 06/12/16
Deputies were sent to a truck partially over the bank at False Bay. Investigation showed the driver had pulled over to answer a cell call and hadn’t fully set the emergency brake and rolled forward over the edge. The truck was safely towed back onto the road. No legal action needed.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a theft. The victim did not want to pursue charges at this time, but wanted the suspect trespassed. The suspect was trespassed from the property.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of an unwanted person at a business. The person was contacted and was given a trespass warning.
16-003806 Theft 14:52:37 06/13/16
Deputies were dispatched to an Eastsound business reference a theft. It was determined several items had been taken from the business over the past few weeks. A report was completed. No further action was required.
16-003818 Domestic Dispute or Assault 23:49:02 06/13/16
The reporting deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Domestic. The involved parties were located and interviewed. One was arrested for assault 4th DV and booked into custody.

A deputy was flagged down by a citizen in Eastsound. The citizen turned over some property that he had found in the roadway. Unknown who the property belongs to at this time.
16-003827 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:46:59 06/14/16
Deputies arrived to a domestic call in Friday Harbor. After the investigation was completed one of the parties was arrested for Assault 4th degree DV.
16-003832 Controlled Substance Problem 16:30:18 06/14/16
Deputies were dispatched to an unwanted person it was later found a Juvenile was in the Possession of Non-Prescription medication. Case is being forwarded to the Juvenile Department.
