A Friday Harbor resident reported missing her 10′ Walker Bay dinghy from the Port of Friday Harbor. The dinghy was tied up at the dinghy dock and was last seen around the 23rd of April. The dinghy had a 10 horse motor and is white with grey seats and a dark grey pontoon kit.

A Lopez Deputy responded when a Lopez individual self admitted to drug use and suicidal thoughts. The individual was transported to a medical center for treatment.

A Lopez Deputy was contacted for a welfare check on a person with substance use disorder.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a report of hearing gunshots the night before. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a single vehicle accident that occurred on private property. The driver provided repayment for a damaged fence post to the property owner.
THURSDAY, JUNE 8
23-004237 Civil Problem 10:13:54 06/08/23
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a property line dispute on the 100 block of Raccoon Point Rd. After speaking with the reporting party, it was determined the matter was civil in nature. A documentation report was authored.
23-004249 Trespassing 13:47:57 06/08/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespassing in the San Juan Island area. A business was requesting a trespass for a person. The person was served with a Trespass Warning Letter. Report taken.
23-004250 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:02:06 06/08/23
Deputies responded to an Eastsound address on a report of a domestic dispute. It was discovered that a mother and daughter had an altercation. Both parties were talked to. A report documenting the incident
was written.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an agency assist. Guidance was provided to an already reported incident.
23-004256 Animal at Large 17:23:34 06/08/23
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a loose dog. Staff at Marketplace located an errant dog which was returned to its owner. The owner was issued an infraction for Dog-at-Large – 2nd offense and counseled about ways to keep the dog secured.
FRIDAY, JUNE 9
23-004293 Accident-NonInj 19:01:56 06/09/23
A Lopez Deputy and Lopez EMS responded when a truck experiencing brake problems failed to negotiate a corner and crashed into a tree. An excavator came to retrieve the truck, but the excavator lost balance and flipped on it’s side while attempting to lift the truck. No one was injured.
SATURDAY, JUNE 10
23-004311 Unwanted Person 18:30:52 06/10/23
Deputies on Orcas responded to an assault at the Rosario Resort. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail. A report was taken.
23-004313 Citizen Dispute 19:39:35 06/10/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a citizen dispute. One individual was arrested for out of county warrants and another was arrested for DUI after arriving at the residence intoxicated as the Deputies were on scene.
23-004315 Animal Bite 22:22:40 06/10/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when a dog attacked a neighboring dog. The injured dog was tended to by a vet technician, but the dog succumbed to it’s injuries. The owner of the attacking dog was issued a citation and the dog will be declared as dangerous, imposing numerous restrictions and fees.
SATURDAY, JUNE 11

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an unwanted person at a local resort. The person was trespassed from the location and provided a courtesy ride to the ferry landing.

A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a theft from a local business. The suspect was located and items were returned.
23-004341 Theft 21:29:09 06/11/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a theft from a local business. The investigation is ongoing.
23-004343 Assault – Body Force 23:52:24 06/11/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a possible assault. The reporting party later stated that the incident was kids playing and that no assault took place.
SUNDAY, JUNE 12
23-004352 Vicious Animal 10:39:54 06/12/23
A Lopez resident called to suggest a nearby dog killed their chicken. The circumstances did not support the accusation.
23-004359 Accident-Injury, Traffic 13:25:09 06/12/23
Deputies on Orcas responded to a single vehicle accident with injury in Eastsound. After an investigation was completed the driver was arrested for DUI. All parties were assessed and cleared by Orcas EMS.

Deputies responded to a residence in Friday Harbor for a report of a domestic disturbance. A female was found to be in violation of her court ordered alcohol conditions and a report was sent to the courts.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a medical call to assist Orcas EMS with a possible overdose. The patient regained consciousness with the life saving techniques and quick response time of Orcas EMS. The patient was flown off island for more evaluation.
