A Friday Harbor resident reported his mail being taken. This is an ongoing issue and a report was made.
25-003356 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 22:36:36 06/04/25
San Juan Island Deputies observed suspicious activity at the Friday Harbor High School. Upon arrival, Deputies found that the graduating class was participating in their senior prank. No crime was observed in the event was documented.
THURSDAY, JUNE 5
25-003359 Missing Person 09:15:08 06/05/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a report of a possible sighting of missing juveniles. It was discovered that the juveniles had been found safe in another city.
25-003360 Welfare Check 09:28:43 06/05/25
A San Juan Deputy received a request for a welfare check. The involved person refused assistance, so the Deputy put their caregiver in contact with Compass Health.
25-003372 Prowler 11:38:36 06/05/25
A Lopez Deputy responded when a resident using a security camera system observed a suspicious appearing man enter onto their property. Upon closer examination, the property owner realized that they had hired the man and he was there to help.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision. No suspect information was available.
25-003379 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:17:16 06/05/25
A Lopez Deputy responded when a homeowner discovered their crafting shed had been mysteriously rearranged. No property was damaged or missing. The incident was documented.

San Juan Island Deputies responded to a report of trespassing. The reporting party requested to trespass an individual from the property. A Trespass Warning Letter was completed, and the letter was served to the individual. No crime was observed, and the event was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy helped a citizen with documenting a civil matter. The Deputy also provided resources to the citizen if the harassment escalates. No crime was committed at this point and the incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a noise complaint. The Deputy explained the county noise ordinance to the homeowner. The homeowner was given a verbal warning, and the incident was documented.

25-003388 Attempted Suicide 01:43:39 06/06/25
An Orcas Island Deputy along with the Orcas Island Fire and Rescue helped a citizen that was dealing with mental health concerns. The citizen was transported to Peace Island Medical Center in Friday Harbor. The incident was documented.
25-003393 Parking Problem 13:01:41 06/06/25
The Sheriff’s Office issued three parking infractions to vehicles parked in no parking zones.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of theft. The victim was able to track down a few items and the Deputy documented the stolen items.

Orcas Island Deputies conducted a welfare check on Shaw Island. The investigation revealed no concerns. The incident was documented.

San Juan Island Deputies responded to a report of a missing person. Deputies located the missing person at a family residence. No crime was observed, and the event was documented.

San Juan Island Deputies responded to a citizen dispute at a local business. Deputies contacted one of the involved parties at their residence. No crime was observed, and the incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a callback regarding a domestic disturbance. It was determined that no crimes had been committed. An informational report was taken.
SUNDAY, JUNE 8
25-003442 Accident-HitRun 10:46:49 06/08/25
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a hit and run. Both drivers were on scene and information was exchanged. The damage was non-reportable.
25-003455 Accident-Injury, Traffic 18:40:47 06/08/25
A Deputy along with SJI EMS and SJI Fire responded to an injury-accident. The driver reportedly swerved to miss a deer while negotiating a curve in the road. The driver ultimately went off the road and down an embankment. The driver was evaluated by EMS. A report was completed.
MONDAY, JUNE 9
25-003458 Overdose 00:18:27 06/09/25
Deputy on San Juan Island along with San Juan EMS responded to a report of an overdose at a campsite. The individual had taken mushrooms for the first time and was having a “bad trip.” The individual was transported to the hospital for further care. A report was completed.
25-003459 Accident-Injury, Traffic 02:00:39 06/09/25
An Orcas Island Deputy along with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to a vehicle collision on Olga Rd. The driver was evaluated by EMS for injuries and released. The Deputy investigated the collision and the incident was documented.
25-003460 Death Investigation 05:45:18 06/09/25
A report of a death at home was made to the Sheriff’s Office by their spouse. After an investigation, no suspicious circumstances were found. The deceased was turned over the Evan’s Funeral Home.
25-003461 Theft 07:48:18 06/09/25
A Lopez resident reported the theft of a political sign that had been placed on private property as an expression of free speech. A report was completed.
25-003468 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:35:48 06/09/25
A Lopez Deputy received information related to the possible tampering of alcoholic beverages at a local business. No probable cause exists at this time. An informational report was completed.
25-003474 Fraud 13:36:19 06/09/25
An Orcas Island Deputy authored a report of fraud because someone was attempting to impersonate a homeowner and requesting real estate agents list the home for sale. The would-be impersonator’s attempt failed, and the incident was documented.
25-003479 Citizen Assist 14:35:17 06/09/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a citizen assistance incident in the Eastsound area. The reported incident happened approximately 15 years ago and when Deputies asked as to why the incident was not reported earlier. It was said that they were told not to report it in fear of deportation.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a walk-in report of possible burglary. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of threats. An individual made an online purchase and ended up returning it because it was not what they ordered. The seller then began threatening the reporting party calling them a scammer. A report was completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a suspicious incident in the Olga area. A resident came home to find several windows broken at their residence. After an investigation it was noted that nothing was missing. There is evidence to believe that a possible animal caused the damage.
TUESDAY, JUNE 10
25-003491 Accident-Injury, Traffic 00:06:28 06/10/25
Deputies, San Juan EMS, and San Juan Fire responded to a rollover accident on San Juan Valley Rd. The driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was transported to the hospital for further care. A report was completed.
25-003492 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:36:12 06/10/25
Orcas Island Deputies and Washington State Park ranger responded to a possible domestic call at Moran State Park. An investigation was completed, it was discovered that no crime was committed and the consumption of alcoholic beverages was a contributing factor of the incident.

A Deputy on Lopez received a found wallet and returned it to its owner.
25-003503 Citizen Assist 15:51:53 06/10/25
An Orcas Island Deputy helped a citizen with an animal at large concern in their neighborhood. The Deputy informed all parties involved about the San Juan County animal at large ordinance. The incident was documented.
25-003504 Welfare Check 17:32:11 06/10/25
Deputies on San Juan Island made entry into a residence under community caretaking. The reporting party had not had contact with an ill individual for a couple of days. The reporting party also provided a key to the residence. The person was not home, their front door was shut and locked.
25-003508 Domestic Dispute or Assault 20:55:32 06/10/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a possible domestic incident at a store in Eastsound. After investigating the incident, the Deputy learned that the citizen was experiencing a mental health crisis. There was no evidence of a crime, and resources were provided to the citizen.
25-003512 Welfare Check 22:16:50 06/10/25
Deputies on San Juan Island conducted a welfare check on an adult female. She was found to be in crisis and voluntarily went to the hospital for further care. A report was completed.
