25-003876 Boating Problem 12:24:20 06/25/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a boating complaint at the West Sound County Dock. Two boats were found to be in violation of the overnight moorage law and were issued infractions.
25-003880 Theft 13:37:48 06/25/25
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a theft in the Deer Harbor area. It was discovered that the suspect was a hired hand on the property. The incident was documented, and the case is an ongoing investigation.
25-003893 Accident-NonInj 21:27:47 06/25/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a non-injury vehicle accident. Deputies found that the vehicle had driven off the road and through a fence, coming to rest in a field. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, and multiple infractions were given.
THURSDAY, JUNE 26
25-003897 Unwanted Person 02:03:57 06/26/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an unwanted person in the Mount Woolard area. The concerned citizen’s dog began to bark which prompted the citizen to investigate outside the residence. Nothing appeared to be stolen or broken into however, an outside faucet was open. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of two pickup trucks scraping side mirrors while traveling opposite directions on Fisherman Bay Road. Both trucks had extra wide extended tow side mirrors. Damage to the trucks was minimal and both drivers were uninjured.

An Orcas Island Deputy received found property from the post office in Eastsound. The contents of the found property were inventoried and placed into evidence. The incident was documented.
FRIDAY, JUNE 27
25-003932 Harassment 07:40:18 06/27/25
A San Juan Deputy took a report of harassment. The reported behavior did not appear to be criminal in nature and the reporting party was referred to the court to petition for an anti-harassment order.
25-003940 Animal at Large 12:08:57 06/27/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal at large in the Obstruction Pass area. The owner of the animal at large had multiple infractions for San Juan County code dog at large. The dog owner was subsequently issued an infraction for dog at large 3rd offense.
25-003961 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:31:36 06/27/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to an accident injury. Upon arrival, Deputies found that a vehicle had driven off the road. The driver was medically assessed and cleared by EMS. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, and multiple infractions were given.
SATURDAY, JUNE 28
25-003971 Found Property 15:44:17 06/28/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a report of found property. No contact or identifying information was located on the items. The items were processed into evidence as found property.
25-003980 Noise Complaint /not dogs 23:02:41 06/28/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a noise complaint in the Rosario area. The Deputy was made aware that the noise came from a kayak tour group. The Deputy reached out to the manager of the tour group and plans were discussed to prevent noise ordinance violations in the future.
SUNDAY, JUNE 29
25-003986 Attempted Suicide 08:07:58 06/29/25
Deputies responded to a residence on San Juan Island on a report of a suicide attempt. The victim was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
25-003987 Malicious Mischief 09:33:51 06/29/25
A San Juan Island resident reported vehicle window damage caused by an errant golf ball.
25-003996 Malicious Mischief 11:44:10 06/29/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island took a hit-and-run property damage report. The complainant reported approximately $100.00 damage to a post.
25-003997 Harassment 12:13:08 06/29/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a harassment incident in the Rosario area. After investigating the incident, the Deputy was not able to identify the person of interest because the alleged person yelled at a kayak tour group in the middle of the night from shore.
25-003998 Found Property 12:20:54 06/29/25
A Backpack was turned into the Sheriff’s Office. It was found in the Eagle Cove area and contained a number of items. No owner was located and it was booked into the property room.
25-004003 Vicious Animal 17:00:56 06/29/25
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to an animal problem call. An individual reported that he had been bitten by a dog. The dog and its owner had left the scene before the Deputy arrived. The investigation is ongoing.
25-004008 Weapons Noise 20:21:17 06/29/25
Deputies on San Juan responded to a weapons noise call. After being unable to make verbal contact, the Deputies located the individual. They had attempted to take their own life. EMS was requested to respond immediately. Life saving efforts were performed and the individual was flown off the island.
25-004011 Citizen Dispute 23:01:37 06/29/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a citizen dispute that reportedly turned into an assault. The reporting party had obvious markings on his throat. The suspect would not come out of his house to talk. A probable cause statement for assault in the 4th degree was completed.

A Friday Harbor female was arrested for mail theft after an investigation. She was booked into the jail pending a hearing with the judge. More investigation to follow.

A Lopez resident requested a courtesy report regarding a person from their past. A report was completed and civil court action was recommended.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a two-vehicle collision. One of the drivers was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs.
25-004037 Domestic Dispute or Assault 17:36:20 06/30/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic incident between two juvenile brothers. The conflict was resolved for the evening with the assistance of a grandparent. A report was completed.
TUESDAY, JULY 1
25-004056 Court Order Violation 11:06:22 07/01/25
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of an alleged protection order violation that occurred on 06/29/2025. The allegations were forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
25-004059 Communications Problem 11:40:15 07/01/25
A Deputy took a report of a scam text received by the reporting party. The reporting believed it was a scam, did not respond to the text, and no monetary loss occurred. No probable cause for a crime was found and a report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of neighborly harassment. The reporting party was convinced that a neighbor was throwing things on her roof, however, she did not have proof of it and wanted the incident documented.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of harassment, where an intoxicated adult male was reportedly acting predatory towards a child he had not met. The male was contacted and trespassed from the reporting parties house. The male was very mad and used choice words with the Deputies.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a woman yelling obscenities in the parking lot of a business. The woman was contacted and trespassed.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 2
25-004086 Parking Problem 00:45:37 07/02/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island issued a parking ticket on an RV parked on Argyle Ave in front of the fairgrounds. The RV was parked in that spot all day and into the night, during the no parking time. The owner has previously been informed that he cannot continue to park there.
