A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with a citizen who wanted to report that images were continuing to be implanted into other images on their cellphone. After speaking with the citizen, it was discovered that there was no law enforcement action to be taken. An informational report was completed.
22-003857 Malicious Mischief 10:42:18 06/15/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report that three individuals forcibly got into a home that is under construction and were caught on video. They were identified and contacted. The homeowner did not wish to assist in the prosecution of criminal charges. A report was completed.
22-003859 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 13:04:09 06/15/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a littering call. A large bag of garbage was left on private property. A Lopez Deputy sifted through the garbage and discovered the identity of the owner. The responsible party is currently incarcerated. A third party volunteered to assist in moving the garbage.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a Lopezian weed whacker working too closely to the road on a blind corner. Upon investigation, the weed whacker explained that they were trying to increase visibility to protect bikers from vehicle travel on the blind corner.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a fraud complaint. The investigation is ongoing.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a 911 hang up. Upon investigation, the caller accidentally tapped a feature on their Apple watch that dialed Dispatch.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of Threats. The reporting party received threatening text messages and wished to speak to a Deputy regarding the matter. They declined to pursue charges, but advised would seek an order barring contact. The case was documented in a report.

An Orcas Island Deputy authored a found property report. An Apple I-Pod and set of keys were booked into evidence as found property.

A Lopez resident reported possible traffic violations on MacKaye Harbor Road. Deputies will monitor the area.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a Domestic Violence incident that occurred over a year ago. The incident is currently being investigated.

A Lopez resident called with concerns about a recently arrested person who lives near them.

Orcas Island Deputies pulled a shrimp pot that went adrift off the south end of Lopez Island. The owner was contacted.

A San Juan Deputy located a person with an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The Deputy contacted the person and took them into custody without incident. They were booked into jail to await a court appearance.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a person in crisis. The person was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A caller on Decatur Island accidentally dialed 911. A member of a home owner’s association checked on the caller and confirmed that there was no emergency.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report that a homeowner saw an unwanted person on their property through surveillance cameras. A known vehicle was located on the property with no occupant. No sign of a break-in was noted and the involved party was not located. Video footage is pending.
22-003897 Domestic Dispute or Assault 23:24:42 06/16/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a 911 hang up call. Upon investigation, a couple had engaged in a verbal argument. No criminal activity transpired. The Deputy provided one of the parties a courtesy transport to stay with a friend.

A county employee turned in a found phone to a Lopez Deputy. The owner was located a few days later.
22-003909 Animal Bite 13:42:05 06/17/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a dog bite. The incident was documented and a report was sent to the department of health.
22-003915 Disorderly Conduct 15:51:53 06/17/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of Disorderly Conduct in Sunshine Alley. A subject known to Deputies was yelling loudly and cursing. The person appeared extremely intoxicated and possessed open liquor containers. They were issued an infraction for Consuming Alcohol in Public.

Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic call. Upon investigation, the conflict was verbal only.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and spoke to the people who were still at the scene. Additional people were contacted at another location. One person was arrested on multiple charges. Report taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a medical call involving an inmate. The inmate refused EMS assistance and a report was made.
22-003939 Abandoned Vehicle 09:03:15 06/18/22
An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle at Pinneo Road and Orcas Road. The identity of the registered owner was obtained and contacted.
22-003949 Welfare Check 11:49:38 06/18/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a subject rolling down Spring St. The Deputy arrived and observed the subject rolling in the road all the way down to circle park. Citizens declined to pursue legal action for disorderly conduct. The subject was advised to stay out of the road.

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of a subject sleeping. The subject was later seen walking around not committing any law violations.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to an assault callback. It was determined that an assault did not occur. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a downed power line on Watmough Head Road. The Deputy directed traffic as OPALCO repaired the fallen line.

A Deputy on Orcas Island received a lost property report.
SUNDAY, JUNE 19
22-003967 Mental Health 02:40:35 06/19/22
All of the Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a mental call in the Eastsound area. The individual claimed to have a rifle and was going to start kicking in doors and shooting residents and responding officers. The subject was taken into custody without incident. No firearm was located.
22-003968 Unwanted Person 07:05:00 06/19/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an unwanted person. The subject was invited onto the premise and was not currently violating any laws.
22-003970 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 08:57:25 06/19/22
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a call regarding property damage. The stop sign at the intersection of Dolphin Bay and Orcas Road was destroyed and a nearby fence damaged. A report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a trespassing complaint in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a building alarm. An unsecure door was discovered, a few people had entered the building to use the bathroom and then left. The Deputy secured the door and checked the building. A controlling authority of the building was notified. A report was completed.
22-003977 Court Order Violation 13:27:37 06/19/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to an order violation complaint. An investigation commenced. The Deputy determined there was insufficient probable cause to believe a crime had been committed.

22-004016 Parking Problem 11:33:11 06/21/22
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a parking problem at The Village Green. The driver had moved their vehicle before the Deputy arrived. They were informed that they could not park their vehicle on the property again.
22-004022 Vicious Animal 14:08:37 06/21/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of animal abuse on a yacht. The yacht was located, and the owner was contacted. The dogs had food, water, and were not afraid of the Deputy or their owner. They appeared happy and healthy, there did not appear to be any signs of abuse.
