A Deputy on Orcas Island received a found wallet. The owner was promptly located and took possession of the wallet.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a bicycle theft from the Friday Harbor Elementary School. The theft happened that same day during school hours from a bicycle rack on the school property.

San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a mental health crisis call. The patient was contacted and determined to be at imminent risk of harm to others. They were sent to the hospital involuntarily for assessment and treatment.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to a single vehicle crash. The car was found unoccupied in a field. Assisted by Lopez Fire and EMS, a search was launched for the driver who was found uninjured 2 hours later at a nearby residence. A report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a citizen dispute. One party was arrested for driving under the influence and obstructing a law enforcement officer and was booked into jail.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a series of gunshots heard. The shots were attributed to mobile livestock processor working nearby. No further action was necessary.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a theft of a cell phone. The phone was last seen near Front and Spring Street on the night of 6/15. It was not recovered as of this report.

A San Juan Deputy took a property damage report concerning injury to a pet. The report was taken to document the injury sustained and was deemed not to be a criminal matter.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a call of an erratic driver. The subject was located and arrested for DUI.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen assist call. A married couple were engaged in a verbal conflict. A Lopez Deputy provided one of the spouses a courtesy ride to a relative’s house to give the couple an opportunity to calm down.

Deputies on Lopez Island received a call of possible mail theft and forgery of a written check. All parties involved were contacted and an investigation is on-going.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found property regarding a firearm that the owner no longer wanted. The firearm was entered into evidence.

Deputies on Lopez Island responded to a call of a non-injurytraffic accident at Hummel Lake. A citizen in the parking lot of Hummel Lake failed to place the vehicle in park. The vehicle rolled into the information kiosk knocking it over. A report was taken for documentation.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of threats. The victim did not wish to pursue charges and the incident was documented.

Friday Harbor Deputy assisted a community member involved in a collision the previous night with a courtesy ride to the tow lot. After two hours of assistance the person was given a courtesy transport back to where he lives. Informational report made.

San Juan Deputies completed a search of a vehicle impounded the day prior. Suspected methamphetamine and LSD were located along with drug paraphernalia.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a citizen in a mental health crisis. While on scene the Deputy observed another subject on scene who was on court ordered alcohol conditions. The subject appeared intoxicated and a report was sent to the probation department.

An Orcas Island Deputy arrested a local man with multiple warrants. Drug paraphernalia was found on the subject during a search incident to arrest. The subject was transported to the San Juan County Jail.

An Orcas Deputy took a statement from a victim of theft that occurred in Anacortes, WA.

A Lopez Island Deputy discovered an illegal burn in the Shark Reef area. The property owner was directed to extinguish the fire. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy took a report of target shooting with firearms in their neighborhood.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an unconscious person at a residence. The person was pronounced deceased at the scene and a report was made. At this time, the death appears to be natural.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a found cell phone. The owner was unable to be located and the phone was entered into evidence.

A Deputy on San Juan Island contacted a subject at the station. The subject appeared to be under the influence of alcohol in violation of a court order. A report was forwarded to the probation department.

A Lopez Deputy removed two trespassers from the beach south of Otis Perkins park during the evening hours. They were reminded of the clearly posted no trespassing sign and private property boundaries.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a vandalism complaint. The reporting party advised that their mailbox had been damaged. It was determined that a silver Volkswagen vehicle had struck the mailbox. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a residential burglary call near Eastsound. A report was taken and the stolen items entered in to the database. There are no suspects at this time.
21-005156 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 09:38:47 06/21/21
A Deputy was dispatched to a Suspicious Circumstance in the Friday Harbor area. A business owner had video of two people near the business after business hours. Report taken.

A Deputy from Orcas Island was contacted by Washington State Ferry Staff. A small bag containing drug paraphernalia was located in the restroom of the ferry. The bag was confiscated and booked into evidence for destruction.

Deputies on Lopez Island contacted a subject with an outstanding warrant for a failure to appear. The subject was taken into custody without incident and booked for the outstanding warrant.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a missing wallet. The owner, visiting San Juan Island for the week, reported losing it at the waterfront during the day.

San Juan Deputies, Medic and Fire personnel responded to a suicide attempt. The victim was located, stabilized and transported to an off-island hospital.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Vehicle Prowl in the Friday Harbor area. The owner was contacted and advised several items were removed from a vehicle. There are no suspects or workable leads at this time. Report taken.

An Orcas Deputy responded to an unattended death on Orcas Island. An investigation was conducted and report written.
21-005214 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:43:05 06/22/21
San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an accident-injury on Roche Harbor Rd. The driver fled the scene but was returned by a female who had driven the driver away. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and no valid license without ID. Multiple infractions were also issued.

San Juan Deputies responded to a verbal domestic disturbance. Deputies contacted all parties and determined no crimes had taken place. Coordination of resources was arranged to assist the family with conflict resolution.
