A Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a cell phone found at Linde Park approximately 2 to 3 weeks ago. The phone is an un-initialized phone and an owner was unable to be located. The phone was entered into the property room per policy. Report made.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible theft call. After an investigation was completed there was no victim that wanted to come forward, and the item was returned.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a collision involving a motor scooter on Roche Harbor Rd. The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation. No other parties were involved; a collision report was generated.

A Deputy responded to a found property call in Friday Harbor. A local restaurant called to report a credit card left at the business. The owner of the card was not located and not in local name files. The card was entered into the property room per policy. Report made.

A Lopez resident reported the theft of eggs and cash from their farm stand.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Disorderly Conduct call in Eastsound. The reporting party had a witness that called them to report a citizen had possibly damaged some of the new construction on Prune Alley. The case is ongoing.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Safekeeping Call in the San Juan Island area. The person was turning in weapons per a court order. The items were taken and entered into evidence.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The incident was found to be verbal argument and the people agreed to separate for
the night. Information report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of garbage falling out of a large truck as it was heading to the ferry. The investigation revealed a few small pieces of paper were found on the road. The unknown truck was not found and is suspected to have boarded the ferry.

The Lopez school was burglarized. Deputies and school staff are investigating. Several computers were stolen.

A man walked onto a Lopez citizen’s property to inquire about purchasing a neighboring property. The reporting party believed the man’s behavior was unusual and suspicious. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a communications call. An Orcas citizen was being bombarded by phone calls from a man claiming he works at Amazon, asking for information. The Deputy advised the citizen not to provide any information and block all contact with the caller.

A Lopez Deputy observed three sheep on the side of Fisherman Bay Road. The Deputy stood by to alert traffic, and the sheep walked home on their own accord. Their owner was notified.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The suspect was issued a trespass warning letter.

A Deputy was dispatched to a fight in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. One person was arrested for Assault 4th DV, Minor Possessing or Consuming Alcohol, and DUI.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Photos of the damage were taken. The investigation is ongoing and a report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an unwanted person call in the Eastsound area. The individual left the scene before the officer arrived. A trespass warning letter was completed, and a report taken.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Trespassing call in Eastsound. The business wanted someone trespassed from their business, as they have been making their staff and customers very uncomfortable for months now.

A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to an Agency Assist. It was found that many rear license plates had changed vehicles over the past couple of months. The agency calling in had an Orcas resident’s plate to return to them. The resident’s rear plate was found to be a plate from off island.

An employer from Anacortes called to report that their employee from Lopez had not shown up for work and was not answering phone calls. Upon investigation, the employee missed work because they were at a spa getting a massage. It is likely they were too relaxed to communicate via phone.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle call on public property. The vehicle was impounded.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to assist Washington State Park Rangers and Orcas Fire and Rescue Personnel with a medical emergency.
