WEDNESDAY, JULY 23
25-004784 Accident-NonInj 12:36:41 07/23/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a collision. No injuries occurred and no signs of impairment were noted. The Deputy facilitated the exchange of information and completed a collision report.

25-004786 Vehicle Prowl 13:55:33 07/23/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle with a cut fuel line at the Hunter Bay docks. The matter is under investigation.

25-004791 Accident-NonInj 15:38:15 07/23/25
A Deputy On Orcas Island took a report of a 2 car traffic collision. The driver of the causing vehicle was given a notice of infraction for failing to yield right of way to the other vehicle.

25-004800 Domestic Dispute or Assault 20:22:49 07/23/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a report of a domestic. The investigation showed that no assault took place. This report is for information only.

THURSDAY, JULY 24
25-004809 Welfare Check 09:01:03 07/24/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a request for a welfare check on Orcas Island. The person was contacted, and no emergency was noted They were put in touch with local resources to assist them.

25-004813 Communications Problem 10:58:39 07/24/25
A Deputy took a report of a possible road rage incident on Orcas. The incident was documented.

25-004825 Trespassing 14:05:54 07/24/25
A report of harassment was made to the Sheriff’s Office regarding an incident on Stuart Island. No action was taken at this time and a report was made.

25-004837 Animal at Large 21:05:11 07/24/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal at large in the Buck Mountain area. The Deputy recognized the dogs from a previous animal at large call where the owner was given a verbal warning. The Deputy returned the dogs to their owner and the owner was given a written warning.

FRIDAY, JULY 25
25-004856 Vehicle Theft 13:46:58 07/25/25
A Lopez Deputy responded a report of a stolen vehicle. An unattended truck was taken from a farm without permission and found totaled at the Hummel Lake Preserve parking area. The matter is under investigation.

25-004865 Citizen Assist 17:13:10 07/25/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a citizen needing assistance with a lost phone. The citizen lost his phone while visiting Orcas Island and a local citizen found the phone at a beach. The Deputy was able to locate the phone and get the phone back to the owner.

25-004867 Agency Assistance 19:00:51 07/25/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an agency requesting assistance for the Sheriff’s Office to investigate a vulnerable adult incident. After investigating the incident, the reporting party did not want any criminal action to take place at this time. The incident was documented.

SATURDAY, JULY 26
25-004882 Found Property 10:14:36 07/26/25
A Lopez Deputy located a visitor who had lost their keys. The keys were originally found by the Public Works crew.

25-004887 Accident-HitRun 14:36:48 07/26/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a hit and run collision in the Olga area. There was no video footage or witnesses of the accident. The incident was documented for the victim’s insurance company.

25-004889 Sick or Injured Animal 14:39:50 07/26/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a welfare check for a citizen and their dog in the Eastsound area. The Deputy did not observe any signs of distres, and the incident was documented.

25-004891 Animal Bite 15:19:06 07/26/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned a dog bite by callback. The incident was reported by a Washington State Parks Ranger. The involved parties were, reportedly, no longer on scene.

25-004903 Found Property 22:17:54 07/26/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took custody of personal items located at Jacksons Beach. The owner of the items was not local to Friday Harbor and was off island by the time they were contacted. Their belongings were submitted into evidence as found property.

SUNDAY, JULY 27
25-004915 Trespassing 13:12:06 07/27/25
A local man was arrested for trespassing in a county park. Mental health services were requested.

25-004916 Boating Problem 14:00:51 07/27/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a boating accident hit and run in the Rosario area. The suspected person that hit the victims boat sailed from the area before Deputies could question them about what happened. The incident was documented for the victim’s insurance company.

25-004920 Welfare Check 15:03:01 07/27/25
Deputies on San Juan responded to a welfare check of a suicidal individual. He was located unconscious after stealing a bicycle. The male then woke up; he was agitated and had erratic emotions and body movements, clearly in an altered state. The male was transported to the hospital for further care.

25-004927 Theft 17:27:55 07/27/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of theft of alcohol from a grocery store. The suspect was located near the ferry terminal. The male initially provided a fake name and other false information. Ultimately the male was identified and was issued a criminal citation for theft in the 3rd degree.

MONDAY, JULY 28
25-004942 Unwanted Person 11:21:46 07/28/25
Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched for a former employee who said he was refusing to leave the premises. Upon contact, the former employee agreed to leave.

25-004943 Found Property 12:20:17 07/28/25
A Credit card was found on San Juan Island and turned into the Sheriff’s Office. The card was put in the property and evidence room.

TUESDAY, JULY 29
25-004960 Agency Assistance 08:11:21 07/29/25
Adult Protective Services reported a possible financial abuse on Friday Harbor. An investigation concluded that a scam phone call resulted in no monetary loss.

25-004979 Vehicle Prowl 14:55:55 07/29/25
The Sheriff’s Office took a report of vehicle damage that occurred to a parked vehicle. The incident was documented for insurance purposes.
