A Lopez Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle committing multiple traffic violations. The driver, nearly 90 years old, was lost trying to find their way back home. The Deputy assisted the driver in locating her address.

San Juan Deputies located an individual with multiple out of county warrants. The individual refused to come out of their trailer and resisted arrest when finally exiting. The individual was booked for the warrants as well as obstructing and resisting arrest.

A Deputy took a report of harassment. A person reported another person had gone to their workplace and spread derogatory rumors about them after an altercation over recent contract work. No crimes were identified. A report was taken.

A Deputy took a report of a loud explosion in the Eastsound area during the night time hours. The source of the explosion has not been identified.

Deputies responded to an Orcas Island address on what was reported to be a mental health issue. Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject. It was discovered she didn’t pose an imminent threat to herself or others. The incident was documented.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of an impaired driver, whose vehicle had been pulled out of a ditch. Ultimately, the driver was taken into custody for DUI and was booked into the San Juan County Jail. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a Traffic Hazard created due to the Weather on MacKaye Harbor Rd. Public Works was contacted and the roadway was later partially cleared. The incident was documented.
