A Lopez Island Deputy was called to investigate a grounded, sunken sailboat in Fisherman Bay. The sailboat was blown ashore in the windstorm during night, dragging its anchor. The owner was on site, beginning the clean up and salvage process.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on a report of horses running at large. The horses’ owner had already secured the animals back in their pasture before the Deputy arrived.

A Lopez Island property owner requested that a Deputy check a vehicle that was believed to be abandoned on their property. The vehicle owner was contacted, and the vehicle had broken down. The owner is working to get it moved as soon as possible.

A Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to signal, stop at a stop sign and for driving with wheels off roadway in Eastsound. Further investigation revealed probable cause to arrest the driver for Driving Under the influence. The driver was processed and booked.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a mental health call. The subject was taken into protective custody and evaluated by a mental health professional.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a theft call in the Orcas area. A report was taken.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault in the Eastsound area. The suspect, a local man, was later located and arrested for Assault 4th Degree and resisting arrest. He was treated for dog bites after being taken into custody.
