A Lopez Deputy responded when an individual reported that they have not had contact with an adult family member for a few months. Upon investigation, the family is estranged and the lack of contact was intentional.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of vandalism at the Lime Kiln Preserve. A rock and part of a trail had been painted. No suspect information exists at this time.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a loose dog. The person in charge of the dog was contacted and issued a dog-at-large warning letter.
24-000796 Unwanted Person 17:18:04 02/08/24
A Deputy took a report of a landlord tenant issue. The landlord believed the tenant abandoned the property and wanted the tenant trespassed after they returned. The situation is civil in nature and no criminal acts were believed to have occurred.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a request for a welfare check. The involved party was contacted; they advised they were fine, refused all services and offers of assistance.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10

A Lopez resident requested assistance with an unwanted person on their property. The cooperative person was removed and given a ride home.

A Lopez Island Deputy and Lopez Island Fire & EMS were dispatched to a Welfare Check. The individual was airlifted to a higher level of care and the incident was documented.

24-000838 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 04:33:26 02/11/24
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person. Deputies located a broken window at a residence and located a naked male in the street. The male was taken into protective custody for mental health treatment and the report was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a civil dispute between a landlord and tenant. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a hit and run. A vehicle had gone off of the road in front of the victims residence and hit a rock wall and did property damage to the victim. This case is still under investigation.
