A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a submerged tugboat near the Lopez ferry terminal. The Coast Guard coordinated with a contractor to have the boat safely removed.

A report of a domestic dispute on San Juan Island resulted in a verbal only confrontation. An investigation showed no assault had occurred.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of citizen dispute. An investigation was conducted and a report written.

An Orcas Deputy contacted a local business that requested a former employee to be trespassed from. Attempts are being made to locate that former employee and issue him a trespass warning letter.

Deputies responded to a reported Domestic Disturbance. After arriving and investigating the incident, the incident was deemed to be verbal in nature an no crimes were committed. The incident was documented.

A resident of Shaw Island, located in San Juan County, WA reported that he was defrauded by an unknown person.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Agency Assist in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy checked on a person for the agency. The person stated that there were no issues. Report taken.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of an attempted incident of fraud. A person representing themselves as a property owner attempted to sell a piece of land. Involved brokers noted the parcel had been listed and removed it from the MLS. No loss was incurred and the suspects identity was not discovered.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Agency Assist in the Friday Harbor area. An agency made a request to escort a client to a safe location. The Deputy made contact and escorted the person to a safe location. Report taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of three large dogs in the 6400 block of Roche Harbor Rd. The Deputy caught the dog with the help of nearby drivers and loaded them into their vehicle.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a suspicious call. A vehicle was seen repeatedly driving slowly past a residence. The driver was identified and a report was taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an overdose. The victim was transported by EMS and was flown off island for further treatment.

A Deputy took a report of an unconscious person who appeared to have vomited on a walkway. The Deputy arrived and discovered the person was intoxicated. The person was safely escorted home.

A Deputy received a Failure to Redeem packet from a local tow company. The registered owner of a vehicle failed to claim the vehicle from impound. The registered owner was issued an infraction for

A Lopez Deputy responded to a dog at large complaint. A warning letter was issued, along with an agency brochure explaining the county animal ordinances. Other veterinary care resources were suggested.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a hit and run call. A mailbox on Port Stanley Road was struck by a vehicle during the night. Deputies are working to identify the driver.

ADeputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. After the interview, the incident appeared verbal only. The people separated and a report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of an injured deer. Upon investigation, the deer was not injured. Rather, it was cold from a swim in Upright Channel.

A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a single vehicle accident. It appears the driver of the vehicle missed a driveway while backing and ended up backing into a ditch and hitting a fence.

Deputies on San Juan Island were dispatched to a domestic incident. One person was arrested for Assault 4th degree DV, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer, and Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree.

Deputies responded to a reported domestic in Friday Harbor. After investigation, it was determined to be verbal between mother and son. No arrest was made and a referral to Safe San Juans was made.

23-001397 Court Order Violation 12:32:29 02/28/23
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an order violation call. The suspect, who does not reside in the county, had been contacting the victim via phone, which was a violation of the court order. A probable cause statement was completed and forwarded to the PA’s office for charging.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a juvenile problem. After contacting all parties involved the situation was resolved.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to the PIMC Emergency Room for a report of found drugs. An individual had left their jacket and marijuana in the hospital earlier in the day and did not return. The Deputy submitted the marijuana into evidence for destruction. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with a citizen who wished to have an individual trespassed from multiple properties on island. The individual was contacted and served with the trespass warning letter. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned to a runaway juvenile case. The juvenile was located and returned home without incident.

23-001416 Animal Bite 22:10:31 02/28/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to PIMC for a report of an animal bite. The individual was bitten by a family members dog, but stated they were okay. The hospital staff had already completed a required form and provided a copy to the Deputy. A report was completed.
