A Deputy was dispatched to found drug paraphernalia in Friday Harbor. The Deputy retrieved the items and destroyed them at the Sheriff’s Office.
17-000958 Animal at Large 10:50:58 02/21/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called regarding 5 sheep and 2 horses running at large near the school. The owner of the animals was identified and the animals were returned home.
17-000965 Animal at Large 13:42:22 02/21/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called regarding a bull running at large. The bull was located and the owner identified. The owner arrived on scene to take care of the animal.

A Deputy was dispatched to a welfare check of a male in Friday Harbor. Deputy contacted the subject who was medically evaluated on scene and later taken into custody for an out of County Warrant.

A Deputy was dispatched to a hit and run unattended in Friday Harbor. After further investigation no crime was found and both parties exchanged information.

A Deputy was dispatched to an unattended hit and run in Friday Harbor. After further investigation it was found to happened three days prior and no suspect information.

The reporting deputy was dispatched to a Vehicle Prowl in the Friday Harbor area. The victim reported $175 to $200 was taken from an unlocked vehicle over the previous night. Investigation continues.

A SJC Deputy took a report of harassment via text messaging. An investigation has been conducted and protection options offered to the victim. The case has been documented in case any further actions occur.
17-001030 Vehicle Prowl 16:33:21 02/25/17
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a vehicle prowl. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight. Currently there are no suspects.

A Lopez deputy collected a found wallet from the Lopez ferry terminal.
17-001039 Vehicle Theft 23:36:53 02/25/17
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a vehicle theft. The Deputy had already arrested the suspect in the vehicle theft on other charges before it was discovered that he had stolen the vehicle. The suspect was also arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.

The reporting deputy was contacted via the phone in reference to a Vehicle Prowl that occurred in the Friday Harbor area. The caller advised that last week her vehicle was entered and several items were removed. No suspect information at this time.
17-001053 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:06:59 02/26/17
The reporting deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The caller advised the other involved party had already left the area. The incident was found to be verbal only at this time.

A Lopez Island deputy was sent to dispatch an injured deer on the south end. The deer was put down to end its suffering.
17-001057 Accident-HitRun 15:09:38 02/26/17
A SJC Deputy responded to a reported hit and run collision near Doe Bay on Orcas Island. It is believed that the collision occurred in the early morning hours. The incident is currently being investigated.

Deputies were sent to single car accident on Beaverton Valley Rd. The driver was intoxicated and she was arrested, tested and booked into jail, pending court on Monday.

A Lopez deputy investigated a report of a threatening communication. The interaction was found to be non-criminal in nature.
17-001095 Theft 08:08:33 02/28/17
A SJC Deputy took a report of an apparent theft. A citizen reported that he gave a subject a courtesy ride and discovered that after the transport was complete that a go-pro camera was missing from his vehicle. There is suspect information at this time and the case is under investigation.

The reporting deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft that occurred in the San Juan Island area. The victim advised that tools had been removed from a job-site sometime over the past 3 weeks. No suspect information at this time but investigation continues.
