23-001029 Domestic Dispute or Assault 07:04:45 02/15/23
Deputies responded to a report of assault on Friday Harbor. After an investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.

23-001032 Trespassing 10:06:19 02/15/23
A female who had been previously trespassed from King’s Market was inside King’s Market. The female was arrested and booked into the jail.

23-001035 Theft 10:17:59 02/15/23
A female was seen on video taking several items without paying for them. She was eventually located and arrested for theft 3rd and booked into the jail.

23-001039 Theft 12:38:36 02/15/23
A female was observed shoplifting from Market Place Foods. She was later located and arrested for Trespassing, Burglary 2nd, and Theft 3rd. This is part of several calls on this day. She was booked into the jail on several charges.

23-001040 Theft 12:42:22 02/15/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft. It was reported that a package had been delivered but the reporting party stated that the package was empty. There are no suspects at this time.

23-001042 Vehicle Theft 13:02:34 02/15/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a vehicle theft. The investigation was able to reveal a suspect in the case. The suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and the vehicle was recovered.

23-001044 Agency Assistance 13:42:06 02/15/23 
A San Juan Deputy took a referral from APS regarding possible elder abuse. A 62-year-old person had been the victim of a scam. The Deputy called them and learned that they were clearly not a vulnerable adult, they had recovered all funds, and there was no suspect information.

23-001045 Controlled Substance Problem 13:58:49 02/15/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to Roche Harbor Resort for a report of found drugs. The Deputy retrieved the item, which did appear to be methamphetamine, and placed into evidence.

23-001046 Trespassing 14:33:11 02/15/23
A person was found to be trespassing a piece of property. The owner of the property wanted the person arrested for trespass. A criminal citation was issued to the person who had been booked into the jail
from other charges.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report from the Port of Friday Harbor that they wanted someone served with a trespass letter. The Deputy contacted the person and advised them that they were trespassed from the Port.

23-001049 Trespassing 15:41:58 02/15/23
A San Juan Deputy took a report of trespassing. The reporting party advised people were walking on their private beach, above the high tide line.They requested the involved parties be trespassed from their property. The Deputy drew up trespass letters to be issued to the involved parties.

23-001053 Court Order Violation 18:57:58 02/15/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order Violation. On arrival the suspect fled from Deputies. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail for the order violation and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a single vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16
23-001057 Unwanted Person 06:20:37 02/16/23
An Orcas Deputy responded an unwanted person at a local business. The subject left the area before the Deputy arrived. The subject was later identified and issued a trespass warning letter.

23-001058 Domestic Dispute or Assault 06:55:58 02/16/23
A Deputy responded to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the person calling. The Deputy then contacted an additional person at another location. Statements were taken from both. Report taken.

23-001059 Welfare Check 07:35:47 02/16/23
An Orcas Deputy conducted a welfare check on a woman in Deer Harbor. It was determined that there was not enough information to pursue a mental health hold.

23-001065 Vehicle Theft 09:59:43 02/16/23
A Deputy was contacted about a Vehicle Theft. The theft occurred in another jurisdiction. Person did complete Motor Theft Report. Report taken.

23-001070 Welfare Check 11:24:24 02/16/23
Deputies on Orcas Island were dispatched to a suicidal person. ACDCR was completed a pickup order and the person was transported to Peace Hospital.

23-001072 Theft 12:31:08 02/16/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft. The person had caught the theft of a bike on camera. The person taking the bike was already in custody on other charges. Report taken and person charged with Theft.

23-001074 Malicious Mischief 15:05:59 02/16/23
A San Juan Deputy took a report of vandalism. A caller advised their windshield had been damaged by what appeared to be a pellet gun. No suspect information was available. A report was generated.

23-001073 Attempted Suicide 15:07:44 02/16/23
Deputies responded to a mental health crisis in the Deer Harbor Area on Orcas Island. It was discovered that a person attempted to harm themselves and needed medical attention beyond first aid. The subject was flown to a hospital to retrieve treatment.

23-001083 Traffic Violation 23:59:35 02/16/23
A San Juan Deputy observed an individual with a suspended driver’s license operating a motor vehicle, but was unable to conduct a traffic stop at the time. The Deputy attempted contact with the driver on later shifts and the report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.

A Lopez resident reported a male with a dark complexion driving a light blue Chevy truck was seen possibly casing properties in the area of Vista and Cousins Road. The male was described as having an aggressive demeanor.

23-001092 Vicious Animal 10:17:47 02/17/23
A Deputy was contacted at the Orcas Substation regarding an animal problem. A report was taken.

23-001095 Threats 12:32:07 02/17/23
An Orcas Deputy responded to a juvenile problem at local school in Eastsound. An investigation was conducted and a report taken.

23-001097 Wanted Person 13:32:21 02/17/23
A Lopez man was charged with Obstruction after fleeing from Deputies who were searching for him on a warrant for his arrest.

23-001103 Citizen Assist 16:02:54 02/17/23
A San Juan EMS employee was flagged down by a passerby to report possible harassment. A Deputy responded and learned that a political argument turned uncivil, but no criminal activity occurred. The incident was documented in a report.

23-001105 Court Order Violation 16:33:35 02/17/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a possible protection order violation. No violation appears to have occurred however the suspect was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

23-001108 Mental Health 16:47:10 02/17/23
An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of a woman in the middle of the road. The woman was contacted and refused to provide her identity. She was detained and later identified as having two warrants. She was arrested and booked into jail.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft. The reporting party advised money had been stolen from their hotel room. The Deputy investigated the available leads, but no suspect identity was uncovered.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18
23-001118 Accident-NonInj 07:49:45 02/18/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Accident in the San Juan Island area. A single vehicle was located in the ditch with no driver. The vehicle was impounded.

23-001129 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 12:51:51 02/18/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Littering in the San Juan Island area. A local tow company turned in paperwork for failure to redeem a vehicle. The registered owner was issued an infraction for Littering-Abandoned Vehicle. Report taken.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19
23-001150 Medical BLS 00:11:33 02/19/23
A San Juan Deputy observed that an inmate was having a medical emergency. The inmate was transported to the hospital, where they were treated and discharged, before being transported back to jail.

23-001153 Court Order Violation 08:12:13 02/19/23
A Friday Harbor resident put a note on her neighbor’s door and thereby violating an anti-harassment order.
23-001158 Runaway Juvenile 12:22:23 02/19/23
A juvenile was reported as a runaway, she was located and due to problems at home, she was dropped off at a friends house for the day.

23-001159 Theft 12:48:54 02/19/23
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a person cutting up trees and taking the rounds without the permission of the property owner. The suspect was identified. The case was forwarded to the San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

23-001161 Mental Health 14:51:13 02/19/23
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a person in a possible mental crisis. After speaking with the individual they did not want help and stated they did not want to hurt themselves or anyone else. They were given the numbers to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team.

23-001166 Welfare Check 20:43:16 02/19/23
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to welfare check. A parent and their child got into an argument. The child was relocated to a different residence for the night to await being picked up by the other parent, who lives off island. No crime had been committed. A report was completed.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20
23-001180 Found Property 16:17:33 02/20/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of found property. A citizen found a silver in color ring on the sidewalk near Kings in Friday Harbor. The Deputy took custody of the ring and submitted it into evidence as found property. A report was completed.

23-001183 Found Property 17:03:50 02/20/23
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a found property call. The reporting party advised they located a lock pick set while walking a trail on Port Stanley Road. The items were collected and booked into evidence.

23-001192 Court Order Violation 21:13:18 02/20/23
Deputies on San Juan responded to a report of an order violation. The protected party said that the defendant left on foot before Deputies arrived. Deputies searched for the individual, but could not locate him. There was a lack of evidence to substantiate that the court order had been violated.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21
23-001194 Welfare Check 00:47:17 02/21/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a welfare check. It was reported that an individual was making suicidal threats and was harming themselves. The Deputy contacted the individual and they stated they were not suicidal and did not have any new self-harm markings. A report was completed.

I met with RP who turned over several rounds of ammunition that belonged to her late husband. The ammunition was booked into evidence for destruction.

23-001198 Threats 09:39:29 02/21/23
A property line dispute turned into a threats report. After an investigation, statements made were not what was reported to the victim by third hand parties.

23-001211 DUI 19:09:45 02/21/23
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of a possible drunk driver. The driver was located in their vehicle in their driveway. The driver was argumentative stating they made it home safe and did not hurt anyone. The driver admitted to being intoxicated and was arrested for DUI. Report completed.
