A Deputy responded to an unwanted person on Linder St. in Friday Harbor. Upon arrival I contacted the complainant who stated a young female had knocked on her door at 0600 hours and when she answered the door, the female tried to make her strike her. The subject left without further incident.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to an Eastsound business in regards to a lost or stolen license plate. A Report was taken.
17-000578 Welfare Check 16:01:25 02/01/17
A Lopez Island deputy was asked to check on the well being of a child. The child was located safe and sound.

17-000588 Attempted Suicide 11:00:41 02/02/17
A San Juan deputy responded to report of a suicide attempt. Upon arrival it was determined the subject was not suicidal. A report was taken.
17-000593 Traffic Stop 14:28:23 02/02/17
An Orcas Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a known subject who does not have a driver’s license and possibly a warrant out for his arrest. The subject was arrested and processed. The subject was cited for driving on a suspended license.
17-000595 Court Order Violation 14:49:46 02/02/17
An Orcas deputy responded to an Eastsound address referencing a restraining order violation. The incident was investigated and a report was taken.
17-000597 Civil Problem 15:06:53 02/02/17
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a Port Stanley residence for a possible criminal trespassing complaint. It was determined that the suspected trespasser was not on the property. The suspect was located and he denied trespassing on the property. A report was completed.
17-000601 Citizen Assist 19:14:08 02/02/17
A Deputy spoke with a Lopez Island resident regarding a disturbance at a Lopez business. The business manager stated an employee’s former boyfriend harassed her at work. The Deputy spoke with the ex-boyfriend, who denied the incident, and he agreed to refrain from contacting his ex in the future.

A Deputy was dispatched to a theft call in Eastsound. A report was taken.

17-000628 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:14:07 02/03/17
Friday Harbor deputies responded to a call for a domestic assault. Deputies arrived and the victim and witness told us what had occurred. The suspect was contacted and admitted to the acts and was taken into custody, then transported to the station and booked into jail pending a court hearing.

A reporting deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the victims. The suspect had already fled. Investigation continues.
17-000639 Animal Bite 13:47:08 02/04/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called to investigate an incident where 3 Seattle women suffered dog bites when their dogs began fighting and the women tried to pull the dogs apart. Injuries to the women were minor and treated by EMS. The dogs’ injuries were treated by a vet. A report was taken.

A SJC Deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle tab in Eastsound. Person(s) unknown had removed a stack of tabs from a legally licensed vehicle. The case is under further investigation.

17-000649 Accident-Injury, Traffic 06:57:02 02/05/17
A SJC Deputy responded to a motor vehicle collision on Orcas. The driver had minor injuries. The collision was caused by icy road conditions. A collision report was completed.
17-000654 Domestic Dispute or Assault 13:29:15 02/05/17
Lopez Island deputies were sent to investigate a reported domestic violence incident. Upon investigation, there was insufficient evidence to make any arrest. A report was taken.
17-000655 Animal at Large 13:49:22 02/05/17
A SJC Deputy took a report of a dog at large in Eastsound. The owners were located and issued a Dog at Large warning letter.
17-000657 Animal at Large 15:37:54 02/05/17
A Lopez Island woman reported that two unaccompanied dogs were chasing deer at Iceberg Point. The caller did not recognize the dogs, and it is unknown if the dogs caught a deer. Information will be forwarded to BLM.
17-000662 Vehicle Prowl 19:25:55 02/05/17
A Friday Harbor deputy responded to a vehicle prowl in town. The victim had left his wallet in his van on Saturday and when he went to get it today, it was gone. He has no suspects and there was no useful physical evidence.
17-000665 Welfare Check 20:02:48 02/05/17
A Lopez Island deputy was sent to check on the well being of a local woman who had called 911 frightened and disoriented. The woman was found safe and secure. No further action was necessary.
17-000667 Welfare Check 20:57:57 02/05/17
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a welfare check. The Deputy discovered that an assault had taken place and this case is still under investigation.

17-000670 Citizen Assist 01:36:47 02/06/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called to assist a resident who was unable to get home safely. The resident’s car became stuck on the snowy/icy road blocking the roadway on a hilly curve. The vehicle was safely removed from the roadway, and the resident transported safely home. No further action necessary.
17-000676 Burglary – Residential 09:58:56 02/06/17
A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespassing/Theft in Friday Harbor. No suspects or further information at this time.
17-000678 Accident-NonInj 11:23:33 02/06/17
A Deputy was dispatched to a not-injury collision in Friday Harbor. There were no injuries and a collision report was taken.
17-000679 Overdose 11:43:40 02/06/17
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of an attempted suicide. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition after taking medication.
17-000685 Trouble Unknown 15:50:59 02/06/17
A Lopez Island deputy was sent to investigate a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, the deputy was greeted by a parents curious as to the reason for the visit. Little kids playing with the phone were determined to be the culprit. Mom and dad will educate the kids about 911 use.
17-000690 Theft 18:18:16 02/06/17
A Lopez Island woman requested assistance in recovering property from a family member. The involved parties had been involved in a physical altercation the previous day, and the caller wanted to avoid direct contact. The deputy recovered the items and the matter was resolved without further incident.
17-000691 Theft 18:29:09 02/06/17
A Lopez Island man was detained for shoplifting from a local business. The stolen property was recovered and the man was issued a trespass letter barring him from coming back to the business. A report was taken.
17-000693 Vehicle Theft 20:29:18 02/06/17
A Deputy was dispatched to the Orcas Ferry Terminal in regards to a stolen motor vehicle by an unknown male suspect. At about 2112 hours, the vehicle was discovered abandon and crashed on Deer Harbor Road. A report was taken.

A SJC Deputy responded to a reported stolen vehicle in the Deer Harbor area. It is believed this case could be related to a vehicle theft that occurred at the Ferry Landing the evening before. The case is being actively investigated.
17-000708 Theft 16:26:36 02/07/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called to a reported theft of firewood. The matter was determined to be civil in nature. No further action was taken.
17-000711 Wanted Person 19:21:37 02/07/17
A subject turned himself in at the Orcas Substation regarding a warrant he had for drug possession. The subject was arrested and transported to the jail to await arraignment.

17-000715 Attempted Suicide 09:38:30 02/08/17
A deputy responded to an overdose in Friday Harbor. The person was transported to the hospital for treatment.
17-000718 Mental Health 13:20:00 02/08/17
A Deputy was summoned to Peace Health Medical Center in response to a subject that was being uncooperative with the staff. I was subsequently informed by Juvenile Court that the subject was in violation of a court order and it was requested that I take her into custody,
17-000720 Traffic Hazard 13:32:19 02/08/17
Vehicle slid into ditch near 3600 Center Rd partially blocking NB lane. Parents arrived, pulled vehicle out. No damage. Everyone sent on their way.
17-000728 Traffic Hazard 15:57:02 02/08/17
Vehicle lost traction on hill, southbound on Center Rd. Pushed to safe spot and helped driver chain up.
17-000736 Welfare Check 18:46:57 02/08/17
A deputy was sent to a San Juan Island residence to conduct a welfare check. The deputy was unable to make contact with the subject at the residence.
