An Orcas Island Deputy took an incident report regarding a loud noise complaint. No crime was committed.

21-010509 Overdose 12:09:54 12/08/21
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an overdose in Friday Harbor. EMS transported the involved person to the hospital for treatment.

21-010511 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:22:05 12/08/21
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic incident. An involved party was experiencing a mental health crisis, but refused the assistance offered by the Deputies. Investigation revealed that the incident was verbal in nature and no crime was reported.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a threats call. Upon investigation, there was no criminal activity.

21-010517 Threats 15:22:06 12/08/21
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a threats call near Eastsound. After investigation there was no crime committed. A report was taken.

21-010521 Accident-HitRun 17:24:57 12/08/21
A Deputy was dispatched to a Hit and Run in the Friday Harbor area. The person calling was contacted. They had parked their vehicle for the day and when returned noticed the vehicle had minor damage. No suspect information at this time. Report taken.

21-010523 Wanted Person 19:00:27 12/08/21
San Juan Deputies located a subject with a felony warrant out of a different state. The subject was placed under arrest and was booked into jail.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9
21-010525 Fraud 08:43:53 12/09/21
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of fraud. No suspect information was obtained, and no loss was incurred by the victim.

21-010533 Accident-Injury, Traffic 18:20:00 12/09/21
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to an accident with injury, a passenger fell out of a vehicle on accident. Involved people contacted, no crime had been committed. Report taken.

21-010539 Trespassing 22:05:14 12/09/21
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a local business for a trespassing complaint. The suspect was gone on arrival.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10
21-010543 Theft 12:43:20 12/10/21
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to multiple thefts from businesses in the downtown Eastsound area. A suspect was located and arrested, and the stolen property returned.

21-010558 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:46:28 12/10/21
Lopez Deputies responded to a trouble unknown call following a 911 hang up. Upon investigation, Deputies determined the incident to be domestic and placed the aggressor under arrest for Assault 4.

21-010564 Accident-Injury, Traffic 21:13:27 12/10/21
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover collision. The driver was arrested for DUI and was booked into jail.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11
21-010566 Attempted Suicide 03:06:56 12/11/21
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a call for a possible suicide attempt. The patient was contacted and upon arrival no medical attention was needed and the patient refused any further medical assistance.

21-010569 Traffic Stop 10:28:06 12/11/21
A Lopez Deputy gave a driver a ticket for speeding on Dill Road. The citizen, who closely follows the Sheriff’s log in the newspaper, expressed mixed feelings knowing that they may be included in an upcoming release.

21-010585 Trouble Unknown 15:41:29 12/11/21
A Lopez Deputy responded to a trouble unknown call after a 911 hang up. The Deputy located the caller, and discovered it was an elderly citizen seeking information about Covid-19. The citizen had already found the answers to their questions by the time the Deputy arrived to check on them.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of stolen bales of hay. A vehicle description was obtained, but there is no other suspect information at this time.

21-010589 Medical ALS 18:02:22 12/11/21
A Deputy on San Juan Island transported an in-custody individual to the hospital after being seen by EMS. It was determined by hospital staff that the individual did not need to be admitted and could return to the jail.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a domestic incident. No crime had been committed. An informational report was completed.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12
21-010599 Heart BLS 09:47:54 12/12/21
EMS responded to the San Juan County Jail for an inmate medical complaint. The person was evaluated and found to not need additional care.

21-010600 Vicious Animal 16:09:16 12/12/21
A Lopez resident called about a dog at large. The owner was contacted and agreed to correct the issue.

21-010601 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:01:08 12/12/21
Deputies on Orcas Island responded along with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue units to a reported injury collision. The driver left the scene and was later stopped. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs.

21-010606 Accident-NonInj 21:15:00 12/12/21
A Lopez Deputy responded to a hit and run collision at the ferry parking lot. The case is under investigation for additional charges as well.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 13
21-010612 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 08:29:53 12/13/21
A Deputy responded to a property damage report involving the caller’s mailbox being damaged over the weekend. They stated it appeared a car went into the ditch & hit his mailbox damaging the post. There are no witnesses to the incident and a report was completed.

21-010616 Boating Problem 10:19:42 12/13/21
A Lopez Island Deputy was called to assist in contacting the owner of a vessel that had sunk while tied to a dock.

21-010619 Abandoned Vehicle 11:20:52 12/13/21
A Lopez Island Deputy was called about an apparently abandoned vehicle left along a road for the past three days. The vehicle was tagged for removal.

21-010626 Fraud 15:01:26 12/13/21
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a fraud call near Eastsound. Their bank had notified them of the fraud and is handling the case. A report was taken.

21-010627 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 15:06:09 12/13/21
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision on Douglas Rd. A Ford Super Duty (2002-2007) passenger side mirror and running board were located but the vehicle was not identified. There are no leads at this time and the incident was documented.

21-010635 Accident-NonInj 18:53:29 12/13/21
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a single vehicle accident. The vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was not on scene upon arrival. After an investigation, infractions for wheels off roadway and going too fast for conditions were written.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14
21-010644 Theft 10:46:37 12/14/21
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft. The person advised that an ex-employee charged vehicle parts on their company account for a personal vehicle. Information was provided and investigation continues. Report taken.

21-010645 Trespassing 11:38:30 12/14/21
A local business signed a trespass warning letter to have an individual notified to not come back on the property. A report was taken.

21-010646 Welfare Check 12:14:53 12/14/21
A Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the Friday Harbor area. The person was contacted and requested medical assistance. The person was then transported to hospital. There was an additional incident at the hospital. Report taken.

21-010651 Disorderly Conduct 18:14:21 12/14/21
A Deputy responded to the Lopez ferry terminal for a disorderly persons complaint. Two individuals became verbally abusive after being told they would have to take a later ferry because they had no ticket. They subsequently apologized; the ferry employee declined pressing criminal charges.
