While conducting a business check of a local Eastsound establishment a disturbance occurred. The Deputy conducted a preliminary investigation and completed an informational report.
16-009104 Trespassing 15:24:05 12/07/16
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report that transients had been trespassing. The Deputy was also informed that mail was found on the roof of the building. The mail had been stolen from several locations in a neighborhood. Currently there are no suspects.

A Deputy was dispatched to an attempt suicide at an Eastsound residence. An initial investigation was completed and a report will follow.

A Lopez Island deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm at a north end home. The house was found secure with no signs of intrusion or attempts at forced entry. No further action was taken.

A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a report of a threatening email. It was found to be a misunderstanding between involved parties.

A Friday Harbor resident reported a neighborhood dispute. Both parties were spoken to.

A Deputy took a theft report over the phone that occurred in Eastsound earlier today. There may be video surveillance of the suspect(s). A report was taken.
16-009127 Runaway Juvenile 17:58:38 12/08/16
Deputies responded to a Friday Harbor residence on a juvenile runaway. The paperwork was completed and the juvenile was entered as a runaway. Deputies checked possible addresses and locations. Juvenile was located and returned to his parents.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a threats complaint on School Road. A tenant alleged her landlord threatened to kill her. The landlord denied making a threat and the tenant subsequently declined filing a formal complaint. A report was completed.
16-009149 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:17:38 12/09/16
A SJC Sheriff Deputy responded to a late night collision on Orcas. Further investigation revealed two persons in the car were uninjured. Probable Cause was determined that the driver was Driving under the Influence. The driver was arrested, processed and released with a promise to appear in court.

A deputy was dispatched to the San Juan area in reference to a possible Domestic. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. The parties were separated. Investigation continues.
16-009152 Traffic Stop 03:01:34 12/10/16
A SJC Sheriff Deputy stopped a vehicle that drove off the roadway in
Eastsound. Further investigation revealed there was probable cause to believe
that the male driver was Driving Under the Influence. The male was arrested,
processed and released with a promise to appear in court.

A Deputy was dispatched to an accident-non injury in Eastsound. The vehicle had been taken from where the owner left it the night before. The keys were in the vehicle and it was left unlocked. No suspects are known at this time.

A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a citizen dispute involving a landlord and tenant. Both parties agreed to settle differences peaceably.

Deputies were dispatched to a citizen dispute in Eastsound. After talking with the parties involved everything was resolved and checked out ok.

Lopez Island deputies were called to assist a parent with a child custody matter. The situation was resolved without incident. A report was taken.

A Deputy contacted a citizen in Friday Harbor. The citizen had been drinking and was on conditions not to drink. This case was sent to the probation department for the violation.

A Deputy was dispatched to a non-injury accident at Terrill Beach Rd and Mt. Baker Rd, Eastsound. A vehicle was unable to stop in the snow/ice roadway conditions and went thru the stop sign striking a commercial vehicle. The at-fault driver was cited.

A Lopez deputy responded to a report of possible animal neglect involving sheep. A report was taken and investigation continues.

A deputy was contacted about a Theft that occurred in the Friday Harbor area. The victim advised he recently lost an electronic deviCe and has since been contact via e-mail requesting the device’s passwords. Investigation continues.

A Deputy was dispatched to a subject off roading on San Juan County Land Bank Property and became stuck. The vehicle was removed from the property. The Driver was cited. A report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a noise complaint of two dogs continuously barking since 1000 hours today. This is the ninth call for service regarding these dogs barking. An infraction was issued to the dog’s owner again. A report was made.

A Lopez Island Deputy conducted a welfare check at the Lopez Clinic after a patient threatened to harm her parent. A Mental Health Professional responded to the clinic and the patient was subsequently transported to Anacortes for a mental evaluation and treatment. A report was completed.

Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic Assault in Friday Harbor. Deputies took the suspect in custody and who was later booked into jail for Assault 4th Degree/DV.
