On 12/22/15 a suspect was contacted in the San Juan Island area and arrested on a local warrant. The suspect was booked into the holding facility.
15-007329 Theft 11:12:30 12/22/15
On 12/22/15 the caller contacted the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Theft of Mail which occurred in the San Juan Island area. the package was delivered on
12/19/15 but was not in the mailbox for pickup by the caller. Investigation continues.
15-007341 Theft 20:32:07 12/22/15
On 12-22-15 at 2032 hours a Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a theft of some mail in the 200 block of Tucker Ave. Currently there are no suspects.
15-007342 Malicious Mischief 21:17:13 12/22/15
On December 22, 2015, a Lopez Island woman reported vandalism to three vehicles parked at her residence.
15-007343 Traffic Hazard 22:23:22 12/22/15
On Tuesday 12-22-2015 at approximately 2223 hours the Sheriff’s Dispatch center received a call that a van was in the middle of the Roche Harbor Road and abandoned. I arrived on the scene and found the van was in the traveled portion of the roadway on Roche Harbor Road. Earlier I had been at this location and

On 12/23/15, an Orcas man reported an assault that occurred earlier in the day. The man stated he wanted the incident documented and requested no further investigation.

15-007363 Fraud 10:41:31 12/24/15
On 12/24/15, a deputy responded to and Eastsound business regarding a report of fraud. The investigation continues.
15-007376 Trouble Unknown 18:38:42 12/24/15
On 12-24-2015 at approximately 1900 hours deputies responded to Blakely Island to investigate a 911 hang up call. Deputies arrived and settled a verbal domestic dispute.

15-007380 Theft 09:19:06 12/25/15
On 12/25/15 the caller contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft of Mail which occurred in the San Juan Island area. The caller advised a package was removed from the area of their mailbox. No suspect information at this time.
15-007386 Court Order Violation 19:31:07
Deputy was alerted that a male was at The Little Store in Friday Harbor attempting to purchase alcohol in violation of a court order prohibiting him from purchasing alcohol. A Deputy verified the order and made contact with the suspect. The suspect refused to provide a sample of his breath.

15-007389 Traffic Stop 10:33:19 12/26/15
On 12/26/15 a SJC Sheriff Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on Deer Harbor Road. The driver did not have a driver’s license or valid identification. He was cited for no valid operator’s license without identification and released with a promise to appear in court.
15-007398 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 20:05:56 12/26/15
On December 26, 2015, a Lopez deputy was contacted regarding a vehicle whose ownership is in dispute. The citizen was told told to file a disputed ownership complaint with the district court.

15-007404 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:19:07 12/27/15
On Sunday, December 27, Lopez deputies were dispatched for a domestic. No probable cause for a crime was found and parties were separated for the night.

15-007423 Accident-NonInj 10:10:54 12/29/15
On 12/29/15 at approximately 1011 hours, I was dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision at the 2200 block of Deer Harbor Road.
15-007424 Animal at Large 11:13:28 12/29/15
December 29, a dog found running at large by a Lopez Island woman was delivered to the sheriff’s office. The owner was identified and the dog returned to him.
15-007427 Threats 14:03:32 12/29/15
On December 29, 2015 at about 1500 hours, I called back a Reporting Person, an Orcas resident, in regards to verbal threats she received on the phone from her father. The Reporting person was encouraged to obtain an anti harassment order. A report was taken.

Although I cannot explain my interest in these reports, it is of importance that we know purported or actual criminal activity, and I appreciate the effort it takes the San Juan County Sheriff to write up them up.
