Deputies responded to a welfare check on San Juan Island regarding a person in a mental health crisis. The person involved was peacefully taken into protective custody per a court ordered mental health pickup order, without incident and transported to the Hospital. Report made.

San Juan Deputies took a report of a patient who left Peace Island Medical Center against medical advice. An extensive area check was made with negative results and a report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic in Friday Harbor. The incident was verbal and a report was made.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3
20-010230 Theft 11:57:34 12/03/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a theft in Eastsound. The suspect was located and the stolen property was recovered. The suspect was released with criminal charges pending.
20-010232 Citizen Dispute 15:15:16 12/03/20
San Juan Deputies responded to PIMC Hospital about a domestic disturbance in the lobby. Deputies arrived and hospital staff said it just was a patient who didn’t want to wear a mask arguing with their caregiver. No crime occurred and a report was taken.
20-010235 Disorderly Conduct 16:35:33 12/03/20
San Juan Deputies located a patient who had left PIMA Hospital the night before against medical advice. She was cooperative and willing to return to the hospital so Deputies gave her a ride back to PIMA and took a report.

A Lopez Deputy was called out for a panic alarm at a local organization. The alarm had been mistakenly tripped.

Deputies on Orcas Island were dispatched to a reported sexual misconduct. An investigation was conducted and determined to be unfounded. An information report was filed.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in Eastsound. An information report was filed.
20-010280 Communications Problem 08:59:50 12/05/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to collect mail intended for the Sheriff’s Office that was misaddressed and delivered to a local business.
20-010287 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 12:26:43 12/05/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check a residence after the off island owners reported suspicious activity on the property. A check of the premises discovered nothing amiss. No further action necessary.

Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. One of the involved parties left for the night following the investigation. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan came across an abandoned vehicle partially in the roadway. Due to the safety risk the vehicle presented to motorists the vehicle was towed.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a suspicious call in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.
20-010326 Fraud 16:01:28 12/06/20
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a possible e-mail scam. A citizen received an e-mail about a frozen bank account, but they have no account with that bank. No personal information was provided and there was no loss of funds. A report was taken.
20-010331 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:45:31 12/06/20
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a domestic incident. An investigation commenced. It was determined there was sufficient probable cause to believe the reporting party had been assaulted by a juvenile living in the house. A report was taken and sent to the Prosecutor’s Office.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 7

A Lopez Deputy followed up on an Adult Protective Services welfare check request. The person was in good health. The reported concerns were unfounded.
