Subject called in stating he had lost his wallet in FH. On 08/03/15 an unknown female brought the wallet in stating it was located at the Farmers Market. The wallet contained ID, 2 CC’s and $147.00 cash. Owner of the wallet contacted via telephone.

On 08-05-2015 a small skiff was reported stolen from Prevost Harbor on the North side of Stuart Island. The skiff was a 2010 Stabicraft 15 foot blue/aluminum. On Wednesday 08-05-2015 at approximately 1517 hours RP called 911 to report an impaired driver on A Street next the ferry landing. The unknown male driver was seen operating a dark green Toyota pick-up truck and the driver was currently slumped over the steering wheel.

On 8-5-15 at 1628 hours A Deputy received a report of a boating accident that had occurred on 7-27-15 at about 1400 hours in San Juan Channel. It was reported that a passenger on board a sailboat was hit in the head by the boom. The person sustained a head injury as a result of the accident.

On August 06, 2015, a Deputy responded to a residence in Eastsound on a burglary alarm. The residence appeared to be secure with no forced entry. A false alarm notice was left at the residence.

A Deputy responded to Normandy Lane on 08/06/15 for an unsafe discharge of a BB gun. The gun owner stated he test fired his BB gun toward a tree and was not aware the projectile had travelled into a parking lot where people were congregated. The victims declined filing criminal charges.

On 08-06 at approx. 1600 deputies were dispatched to Girlfriend Consignment on a theft report. It was determined that the case might be civil, however deputies assisted in getting the merchandise back from the suspect. Information is still being gathered on this case.

On 08/07/15, a traffic stop was conducted in Eastsound and the driver cited for not being able to show required liability insurance.

A Deputy received a report of theft and vandalism on 08/07/15. The reporting person stated she left her iPad 4 on her porch over night and then found it damaged the next morning. She stated she also discovered an item missing from her garage. No suspects have been identified.

On 8-7-15 at 1709 hours Deputies received a report of an attempted suicide in Friday Harbor. A person had taken a knife and threatened self harm. The person was taken to the hospital for an involuntary mental health evaluation.

On 08/08/15 at approximately 2124 hours, a SJC Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in Eastsound. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended drivers license in the 3rd degree. A criminal citation was issued with a promise to appear in court.

On 08-08-2015, I stopped defendant in the 900 block of Mount Baker Road for speeding 38 MPH in the posted 25 MPH zone. Defendant was suspended/revoked in the 3rd degree and did not have a motorcycle endorsement. I issued him an infraction for speeding and a citation for DWLS3.

On 8-8-15 at 2322 hours a Deputy received a report of a welfare check in the 1700 block of Douglas Rd. It was reported that a person had been drinking and was passed out on a neighbor’s lawn. The person was contacted and appeared to be all right.

On 8-9-15 at about 1700 hours a Deputy received a report of a vandalism in the 1000 block of Harbor View Pl. The victim reported that one of the steps on the porch was damaged by someone that came by her residence last night around midnight. Currently there are no suspects.

On 08/10/15 at approximately 0110 hours a Deputy was dispatched to a civil complaint at a local closed establishment. The reporting party did not want to pursue the matter further after contact was made. No action necessary.

On 08/09/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to an Alarm. The reporting deputy arrived and checked the business. The business was secured and nothing was located at the scene explaining why the alarm went off.

On August 10, a Lopez Island woman reported vandalism to her satellite TV receiver and telephone lines. The outages had been repaired, with both repair technicians telling the reporting party that the damage appeared deliberate.

On August 10 a Lopez Village business reported an intoxicated male acting erratically, frightening other customers. The man left the business with no further incident before a deputy arrived.

On August 10 a Lopez Island deputy was sent to the village on a report of a subject screaming. Witnesses reported a man walking down Lopez Rd screaming at his CD player. The individual was not located in the area.

On August 10, 2015 Lopez Island deputies responded to a call of a woman armed with a shotgun threatening to shoot her neighbor. The woman was still on site with the shotgun when deputies arrived. She was disarmed by the officers and arrested for Assault II w/ a Firearm. No shots were fired, no one was injured.

On Monday, August 10, 2015 a Lopez deputy was dispatched to a theft from a vacation rental. Suspect is estranged wife of the owner’s son. Photos were collected from the rental and the area around the suspect’s home. Investigation continues.

On August 10, 2015, a Deputy on San Juan Island made a traffic stop for a non-functional headlight. The driver was subsequently cited for DWLS2 and warned for the headlight.

On 08/11/15, at approximately 1008 hours, I responded to report of subject found deceased by his wife. I arrived and contacted the reporting party. She stated that her husband has been very ill and recently spent time in the hospital.

On August 11, 2015, a Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a reported one vehicle crash. It turned out not to be a crash, but the driver was subsequently arrested for DUI. The vehicle was impounded.

On August 11, acting on a tip, a Lopez Island deputy arrested a 33 year old transient Lopez woman on three local District Court arrest warrants for Failure to Appear. She was transported to Friday Harbor and lodged in jail pending a court appearance.
