A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to a trespassing call. The suspect was found and informed that they would be arrested if they trespassed again at the Eastsound business.
22-006305 Assault – Body Force 10:32:46 08/31/22
A Deputy on Orcas contacted a person that had probable cause for their arrest. The person threw their coffee on the Deputy and fled the scene after being told they were under arrest and not free to leave. They were shortly found after, arrested and transported to Friday Harbor.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute between juvenile siblings on Orcas Island. An investigation was conducted and a report was written documenting the incident.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to multiple reports of vehicle prowls. Cash, keys, credit cards, identification and other personal belongings were stolen from multiple vehicles. An investigation is ongoing. A report was completed.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and returned to the owner and the owner was issued an infraction for dog at large, 2nd offense.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took custody of a wallet that had been found in Friday Harbor. The owner was notified but was already on the ferry to the mainland. The wallet owner returned to Friday Harbor the same day and retrieved their wallet. An informational report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island was informed that street signs had been stolen. Public works was notified. There is currently no suspect information or workable leads. A report was completed.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a prowler. The Deputy did not locate anyone in the area, but the reporting party had video of the incident. This case is still under investigation.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a missing person. The Deputy searched the area with other individuals who were on scene. The missing person was found safe; it was learned that she had wandered into the wrong cabin while intoxicated and had fallen asleep. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of vandalism. A possible road rage incident turned into a subject vandalizing another person’s vehicle. Case is currently being investigated.

A Lopez resident reported harassment from a neighbor who was photographing a contractor who was evaluating a job on the reporting persons property. A report was completed and civil court information was provided.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a noise complaint. The resident had recently received verbal warnings for noise violations. The resident was issued a notice of infraction for violation of the San Juan County noise ordinance.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. A lost wallet was entered into evidence due to not being able to locate the owner.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a person in a mental health crisis. The individual was voluntarily transported to the hospital for further treatment. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. A business had caught a person taking items without paying for them on security camera. The person was contacted and the items recovered. A report was forwarded to PA’s Office charging Theft 3rd.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called out for a non-injury motor vehicle accident on private property. The driver had misjudged the driveway’s trajectory and ended up high centered on large rocks. A tow agency was called by the vehicle owner and an informational report was taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a burglary. The owner has memory issues, and it was found that someone had been hired to remove items from the house due to the owner moving. The incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an animal problem. A dog owner was walking their dog off leash when it got into a fight with another dog, which was on a leash. The leashed dog’s owner attempted to stop the fight and was bitten by the off-leash dog, causing minor injury.
