A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island business for an unwanted person complaint. A dispute occurred when an employer and former employee had a business related disagreement. The irate former employee departed prior to the Deputy’s arrival. There was no evidence of a crime and a report was completed.

A Deputy returned a dog, which was very friendly, to its owner after it went on to a neighbor’s property. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island man contacted deputies for advice and options in dealing with a vessel trespassing/ stealing moorage and power from a private dock. Information was provided. No further action requested.

An intoxicated Friday Harbor man was ejected from a local tavern. He was observed stumbling up the street. He stopped and punched out the window of a local business and then managed to leave before deputies arrived. Evidence is being collected and an arrest warrant will be issued.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hit and Run Unattended. Driver was later located a cited for DUI and Hit and Run Unattended.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a trespassing complaint in the 2800 block of Fisherman Bay Road on 08/31/17. The involved trespasser was located and he agreed to depart the property. A report was completed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called out to investigate a complaint of a road hazard on Center Road. No road hazard was found and a report was completed.

The manager of a San Juan land bank property brought in a bike found there. It is a slightly older Specialized. No matching bikes are listed missing in our files. The bike was placed in evidence, pending a claim.

A deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. One person was arrested for Assault 4th DV and booked.

A deputy was dispatched to a Hit and Run Unattended in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The caller advised the vehicle was damaged while the caller was at work. Incident under investigation.

Lopez Island Deputies responded to a docked vessel in the 2700 block of Fisherman Bay Road for a suicidal person. The highly intoxicated subject was subsequently transported to a hospital for an evaluation. A report was completed.

A Lopez deputy responded to a slow-speed motorcycle collision. The rider was treated by Lopez EMS and released.

A St Bernard was found running at large near Lopez Village. Before the deputy arrived to take the dog to the kennel, the dog owner arrived and claimed the dog and took it home. No further action taken

A Lopez Island deputy was called to investigate an ongoing trespass issue on Decatur Island. A report was taken.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a sex crime. This case is still under investigation.

Lopez Island deputies were sent to a trespass situation where houseguests had reportedly overstayed their welcome. Deputies interviewed the involved parties, all family members, who agreed to a resolution that kept everyone safe for the night. No enforcement action was necessary.

A Lopez Island deputy responded to a report of trespassers on a private beach on the south end. The intruders were gone before the deputy arrived. No further action was taken.

Lopez Island deputies were sent to a report of a subject trying to gain entry to an occupied residence on the south end. The intruder was gone before deputies arrived. No entry was gained and no property was damaged. A report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an Eastsound business for some property that was left behind. The owner of the property was contacted.

A deputy was dispatched to an Animal Bite in the Friday Harbor area. The involved persons were contacted and an animal Bite report was completed.

A Deputy responded to a report of an attempted assault on San Juan Island. Victim was contacted and a written statement collected. Case is active at this time.

Orcas Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance at Moran State Park. Upon further investigation it was found that it was only a verbal argument and not domestic in nature. An information report was made.

A deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and discovered on of the people had already left the area. There was no signs of a physical domestic. Report taken.
17-006219 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:33:20 09/03/17
An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of a one vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a deer at Crow Valley Rd and Nordstroms Ln. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated and released by EMS. Accident report completed. No further investigation needed.

A Lopez Island deputy responded to a call of a prowler outside a residence. A resident observed a subject with a flashlight outside the house. A vehicle was heard leaving prior to the deputy’s arrival. A report was taken.
17-006242 Unwanted Person 17:06:14 09/04/17
Lopez Island deputies located and arrested a wanted subject at a local business. The subject was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear in court. He was transported to Friday Harbor and lodged in jail pending a court appearance.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a Suspicious Circumstance call on Dolphin Bay Rd involving a tan Jeep Cherokee. Upon further investigation it was found that the vehicle involved was also involved in another report made by another deputy. Information report was made and investigation ongoing.

A Deputy responded to a location in the Town of Friday Harbor reference an unwanted person. Person was cited for depositing an unwholesome substance after defecating in the parking lot.

A citizen reported her dog was grabbed by another dog in Friday Harbor. Contact was made with the offending dog owner and situation was resolved by the deputy.

A Deputy responded to a trespass complaint on. An island visitor went on private property near the Lopez Village to collect owl pellets and then attempted to remove other items from the property owner’s barn. It appeared the items were put back and the suspect departed. A report was completed.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island business regarding a possible theft complaint. An investigation is being conducted.

A deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Dog at large. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved people. A Dog at Large warning letter was issued.

A Lopez Island deputy was asked to go check on a Lopez resident to make sure all was well. The subject was located and everything appeared fine.

A Lopez Island deputy was dispatched on a subject in crisis. After an initial assessment on scene, the subject agreed to voluntarily go to the hospital for help. A courtesy transport to the ferry was provided.

A deputy was dispatched to a Citizen Dispute in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The people separated and one left the area.
